Leanne alerts the police to Whelan's cache of weapons but when they arrive he has removed them. Leanne devises a ruse to get a vital teddy bear from Patrick but fails though he turns up at court to hear the girls' video evidence secure a conviction. However, with Whelan still at large, the girls are put back into witness protection under new identities.

Under the name of Julie Leanne is working as an estate agent but her success leads to her photo becoming public and she has to flee from one of Whelan's hit-men, joining with Rhona, who, as Imogene, has a less glamorous job as a waitress. Between them they devise a way to get rid of Whelan, who has taken a nervous Patrick back into his gang whilst sending DJ to a very odd safe house, owned by the fearsome Da with his weird children.

Leanne and Rhona try to persuade kebab shop owner Farooq Erdem, whose son was killed by Whelan, to exact revenge. He is not interested but his son Baz agrees to assist in a plan to lure Whelan to a non-existent function. Patrick, still haunted by watching Whelan kill one of his gang, discovers that his Internet chat friend 'Rosemary 'is not what she seems whilst DJ escapes from Da but gets arrested by the police.

Rhona, Leanne and Baz make their preparation to lure Whelan and his wife to a supposed Tudor where Baz will kill Whelan. Leanne overhears Baz's gang intending to wipe out all Whelan's men, including Patrick and sets out to warn him. Unfortunately he tells Whelan and the revenge plan goes horribly wrong as Whelan retaliates. Meanwhile DJ is banged up in a youth offenders unit.

Rhona, Leanne and Baz are trapped in the burning building but Patrick, grateful for Leanne's tip-off and aware that she is 'Rosemary' has called the police and the trio are saved, Whelan being shot dead. At last the girls are free from Witness Protection and can go back to normal. Rhona is back with her family but perturbed about not hearing from Leanne.She need not have worried.
