Cornelia is trying to move on, after her break-up, with Caleb, when the Heart of Kandrakhar sends the Guardians a "message"; Meanwhile, back in Meridian, Tynar and Drake are captured by the Knights of Vengeance; The Guardians arrive on Kandrakhar, and discover the source of their powers - along with its keeper, Luba, and two others, Oracle and Tibor; As the Veil is lowered, Oracle informs the Guardians that, with Phobos defeated, they shall be known as "The Guardians of the Infinite Dimensions!"; Elyon, Blunk, and the Guardians discover that they can, now, open "space-folds", instead of portals - only for them to learn that Miranda has escaped her prison, on Meridian; Elyon, Blunk, Caleb, and the Guardians "fold" back, to Meridian, to find that Vathek suspects that he will be the next, to be taken prisoner; The Guardians, Caleb, Elyon, Vathek, and Blunk, decide to team-up, to free Drake and Tynar; During the battle, Cornelia discovers her powers have changed; The Guardians, Elyon, Caleb, Vathek, and Blunk, successfully, rescue Drake and Tynar...

Meanwhile, Matt, tired of being Will's "damsel-boy in distress," makes a deal with Caleb to teach him to fight in exchange for Matt teaching Caleb how to fit in at Sheffield - and Will finds that her increasing affinity for electrical shocks ultimately manifests in her ability to produce and control electricity as a weapon - which is the key to destroying the Annhilators.

Nerissa creates the KNIGHTS OF DESTRUCTION - EMBER, TRIDART, SHAGON (who is actually Matt, whom she kidnaps) and KHOR (who is actually Mr. Huggles). These four feed off the negative emotions of their enemies. She sends them to attack W.I.T.C.H. in Heatherfield... where Irma is put in charge of the new campus radio station and pulls a major gaff by calling nebbishy Martin a loser while on the air. The KOD nearly defeat W.I.T.C.H. in a first battle because the various emotional traumas each girl is undergoing perfectly suit the Knights' strengths, but the girls pull themselves together and switch opponents for their second battle, and the Knights are forced to retreat. Irma eventually apologizes to Martin, on the air, and they hint at reconciling.

Cornelia's bummed, when she has to baby-sit her younger sister, Lillian - then freaks, when the family cat, "Napoleon", speaks to her; In Kandrakar, the Guardians learn that Lillian is the "Heart of Earth" (which explains Napoleon's ability to speak) and that Lillian's on Nerissa's "To-do" list; The Guardians, also, learn that the Oracle - not Yan Lin - is responsible for choosing them to become Guardians; Back home, Cornelia gives Lillian her undivided attention, by telling her a bedtime story (about a witch, named Nerissa, and her four "evil fairies", who are after "Princess Lillian", and her powers - and the four "good fairies", that are sworn to protect her...); Unknown to Cornelia, however, her story has taken on a life of its own - thanks to Lillian; When she realizes what's happening, Cornelia convinces Lillian that she needs to give her power to Matt, "Mr. Huggles", and "Napoleon"; The Guardians, and Nerissa, are surprised by the arrival of Shagon, "Huggles", and "Napoleon"; Nerissa's outraged, however, in Shagon's change in loyalty, as the Regents of Earth defend Lillian - and attack Nerissa, and the former Guardians...
