Convicted serial killer Tom Kerr agrees to let Wisting's daughter Line record for her TV station how he shows the police the burial place of another victim. Wistling's Larvik PD team and Adrian Stiller, the national criminal police officer in charge, accompany him into the woods but are surprised as a hidden flair grenade wounds Torunn Borg seriously. Kerr escapes, presumably hiding in a nearby wooden cabin, as indicated by two tags placed on his clothes. The plan is to pretend leaving the peninsula and wait for a cahoot to turn up.
