In Laos, years after the end of the VietNam war, U.S. airmen missing in action were still laying out signs appealing for rescue from a country in which they intruded covertly. A fleet of big ships was stranded in the the Kazakhstan desert near a site used to develop biological weapons. Walls stretching across Northern California can't be explained. A satellite searching for ozone and other pollutants finds a haze covering a large part of North America, which, though not seen before, is simply explained when the same instruments are used at ground level. Raised ground found in 2012 on Google Earth from four thousand years ago in Peru seems not to belong to temples but related to a major climatic feature of the region, but why?

In 2011 in the desert five hundred miles south of Tripoli the 1,400 feet by 500 feet outlines of a settlement could reveal a Gaddafi weapons base, but closer inspection indicates more ancient origins. A 2005 telephone call to an Albuquerque television reporter leads her to miles of fences 150 miles north of Roswell protecting extensive and puzzling features shown on Google Earth but that a secretive organisation seems determined to avoid publicising.
