Lou Kelly a former inmate alongside Reb Keane enter the compound with old scores to settle, while Joan Ferguson hiding in plain site under an assumed name in Kath Maxwell attempts to make a bold plan to kidnap Vera's baby daughter Grace.

When Judy realises that Lou has no intention of stopping the bomb from destroying Wentworth she tries to tell Ann who already knows of the plan, Joan overhears this and she tells Rita who gets into a fight with Lou and they are both slotted, leaving the phone they both wanted in Lou's unit. Rita tells Lou to stop the bomb but Lou refuses saying that no one gave Reb a chance so would should the women have any. When the NSO arrive at Wentworth the bomb explodes in the sallyport causing extensive damage which wipes out the executive level of the prison. Inmates try to escape through no-mans-land but are stopped, Allie finds the phone in the unit as she is still stuck inside as the roof caves in. Vera is saved by Ferguson after Ann attempts to quiet her and Ferguson escapes into the night, as the guards take count of who is missing, Allie is wheeled out as Linda says that there are over 30 people missing including Joan. Allie hands Rita the phone and they embrace as Allie says that everything will be ok.
