Three months after the siege of Wentworth, life is getting back to normal, a new general manager in Ann Reynolds is in and trying recoup lost money after the events of the siege and bring Vera back to work, Rita is in police protective custody and Marie at her lowest ebb is moved to protection after spending those months in isolation. Lou Kelly a former inmate alongside Reb Keane enter the compound with old scores to settle, while Joan Ferguson hiding in plain site under an assumed name in Kath Maxwell attempts to make a bold plan to kidnap Vera's baby daughter Grace.
