Kurt returns from his suspension and he and the team first focus on the mother and her Chilean ex, the girl's father. They are both suing for full custody, and so both have a motive to keep her from the other. But Kurt senses a similarity with an unsolved disappearance of a little girl from several years before, a case in which he aggressively fixated on the girl's mother as the suspect. Now has to get her cooperation before the rest of the team moves onto another suspect.
