When a geological cataclysm separates two populations of humans for several hundred thousand years they evolve into two separate species; Neandethals in arctic Europe and Homo Spaiens in arid Africa. The restoration of a moderate climate in both regions favor homo sapiens which becomes the sole surviving human species.
