She gets away from them and assimilates. Later they discover Yankee Stadium--the house that Ruth built is not there because Ruth didn't play for the Yankees. So they go back when he was still a pitcher and a prima donna. They try to get him to switch from pitcher to hitter. When they succeed they return to look for Cleopatra whom they discover has fallen in with Lucky Luciano and is using her to keep Ruth from hitting his 60th home run.

Bogg and Jeffrey have to escape through time and arrive in 1927 and discover Charles Lindberg and that he is considering not making is historical flight. They try to convince him to. And after doing that they head back to England.

While helping out American labor leader Samuel Gompers in 1892, they meet an ancestor of Jeffrey with whom Phineas wants him to live.

Bogg and Jeffrey arrive in Russia in 1914 and discover that the British are not fighting World War I but the war in Russia because a British princess is married to Russian nobleman. Jeffrey tells Bogg that the princess is not suppose to marry the Russian. So they go back to prevent the marriage and meet Buffalo Bill Cody and Annie Oakley who are touring England and performing before Queen Victoria. They learn that the Russian the princess will marry is not the gentleman Queen Victoria thinks he is. And when he challenges Annie Oakley to a shoot out, he tries to get Cody to convince her to throw it. When there's an altercation Bogg and Jeffrey have to escape by going through time and find themselves in Africa trying to help Albert Schweitzer cure an ailing chief by using medicine to prove that the witch doctor's so called chants and spells are not helpful. But after losing his supply his aide sent to get some more was captured by slavers.

Bogg and Jeffrey arrive in 1938 at Joe Louis' training camp where he is getting ready for his rematch with Schmeling. But he seems off his game and Louis' manager talks to him and he deduces that a reporter got into his head. Louis is doubting if he can win and thinks it would be better if he dropped out. Bogg and Jeffrey try to help get his confidence back by having Bogg pretend to be German and spar with him. but something goes wrong and Bogg knocks him down making him want to quit. That's when Louis' people attacks them and they escape via the Omni and find themselves on board a plane just a hijacker reveals himself and threatens to blow the plane. He shows Jeffrey the bomb is real and that if anyone tampers with it, it will release a knock out gas. When someone tries to subdue him, the gas is released and Jeffrey goes into the cockpit puts on the pilot's oxygen mask and stays awake but he's the only one and needs to fly the plane.
