Pardon the Interruption

ESPN contracted BMG's Todd Mason to help develop the popular sports series, Pardon the Interruption (PTI). Todd was brought in during the series development phase to help brainstorm the show format and develop a technical plan and budget for producing the show. The show format featured one live remote interview. The program was designed so that both hosts could be in the studio or remote when necessary. The format required the versatility to handle live segments based on breaking news, or to do the show entirely as a live production. The 30-minute daily series was shot using two hard cameras and one jib and anchored from a studio in Washington, D.C. The program was shot live-to-tape then played live-to-air from DC with graphics and effects added on the live play-out. BMG was brought in during the series development phase to help brainstorm the show format and develop a technical plan and budget for producing the show. A, usually hour-long, sports show featuring all the days major sports news and scores. Sportscenter features many segments of it's own while also taking snippets from other ESPN shows such as 'Pardon the Interuption', College Gameday, NFL Primetime, and NBA Fastbreak. The show also features a top 10 list. As of 2005 Monday through Friday are the top plays of the day. Saturday shows the "Not Top 10" and Sunday has Chris Berman's plays of the week.

The Ultimate Fighter is a reality TV show where 16 contestants live together and battle each other for a pair of Ultimate Fighting Championship contracts. The UFC is divided into five weight classes, Heavyweights, Light Heavyweights, Middleweights, Welterweights and Lightweights. In the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, there are 8 Light Heavyweights and 8 Middleweights, with four of each trained by two legendary UFC competitors Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell. Willa Ford hosts the reality challenge segments that help determine who fights who to stay in the competition.

He also has a mute button for each participant which he uses to penalize and direct traffic. At the end of each round, the contestant with the lowest score is eliminated until only one remains.
