Kiba wa shitte iru
Lonely, tortured teacher Makai, smug, smart-Alec student Machiyama, and the deaths of a number of schoolgirls at Miyu's new school lead her to the discovery of the deadly Shinma Ga-Ryu.

At the Next Station
Beautiful young women are disappearing when travelling alone on a subway. Miyu hears about it from her new friends, and rides the train to investigate.
Episode 3
The Forest Calls
An ancient enemy of Larva's returns, possessing the brother of one of Miyu's schoolmates. To overcome the threat, she and Larva must pass into their own world - but would defeating the shinma have good or bad consequences?
Episode 4
Reiha Has Come
Reiha, another 'good' shinma who wishes to emulate Miyu, accompanies the vampire on a quest to find a father and daughter who have gone over the mountain. On the way they meet a kind, contented shinma who hides a dark secret.

The Sepia Colored Portrait
Professor Oshima's true love is shown in an old, unfinished film. The friends set out to find her, but Miyu finds a shinma instead, a shadow possessing the actual film, who can only be killed in an unusual way.

The Ghost of Miyu
A shinma puts Miyu's friends in danger when it impersonates her. Miyu's response may also be dangerous for her friends.

Fate
A young telepathic orphan and his telekinetic little sister attract the attention of a shinma. Reiha's interference when Miyu tries to resolve the situation leads to tragedy.

The Red Shoes
Chiisato goes for a singing interview, but her classmate Miho, who went with her for moral support, is chosen instead. Miho is nervous, but a pair of lucky red shoes help her overcome her fears. But they are much more than they appear.

A professional couple take in their neighbours' cat after their tragic deaths, believing the cat's different-coloured eyes to be lucky. And so it proves - to start with, at least.
Episode 10
The Swamp of Promises
When the four friends visit an onsen, Chiisato finds a young boy who turns out to be the guardian of a swamp where a shinma is imprisoned. Reiha's interference almost causes a disaster.
Episode 11
Soft Face
Hitman Riyuji, betrayed and killed by his boss, wakes up with a new face. Now unknown, he is able to kill his old boss, but keeps waking up in strange places unable to remember what he did.

The Weeping Garden of Reeds
Searching for his beloved cat, lonely Maki hears her bell and follows it to a strange old house where he meets a beautiful woman, who claims to also love cats. Her idea of 'love' is rather different to Maki's, however.
Episode 13
Tale of the Ocean's Light: Part 1
Garline, a Western shinma and old, dear friend of Larva, heads for Japan to convince Larva to join him. Sensing his approach, Larva interrupts Miyu's latest prey, Ryu, and heads off to confront him. Ryu escapes and is found by shinma Nami.

Tale of the Ocean's Light: Part 2
Larva and Miyu's history unfolds as Garline tries to force Larva's compliance. As Miyu is fighting for her friend, Reiha cruelly freezes Ryu and Nami, denying them the life they wanted.
Episode 15
Dream of the Mermaid
On the rebound from a seemingly-failed relationship, Toshihiro stumbles upon a mermaid being kept in an aquarium by an old woman. The mermaid shares her dream with him, and he dreams of setting her free - a dream that is doomed to disaster.

Woman Priest
Chinese warrior and priest Yu-Li travels to Japan to find the shinma who killed her entire family. Miyu is not happy to have a foreign shinma on her turf, and discreetly helps the warrior in her quest.
Episode 17
The Moray Boat
Mayumi - really the shinma Ayu - has been looking after a would-be novelist. Attacked by his ex-wife, her reaction causes Miyu to track her down. But the novelist always knew she was a shinma, and doesn't want to lose her.

City of Illusion
The shinma Moh-chi seduces an architect to create a city for her many children.

Love of the Dolls
Famed doll-maker Kasumi Kimihara deeply loves her creations, especially the life-size male doll she keeps hidden. But when Yuki becomes her maid and also falls in love with the doll, Kasumi's reaction causes an unpleasant revelation.

Butterfly Enchantment
Troubled Ruri is overjoyed to have Miyu as a friend, but the shinma hunter is unhappy about the young girl's situation. There's something strange happening between her and her father.

Flag of Shinma
In a village outside of the real world three shinma demand the guardian-protector chief's daughter as a bride. Miyu and Reiha object, but the battle could be devastating.

Once Upon a Time
The history of how the fourteen-year-old Miyu woke to her powers and became the guardian she is today.
Episode 23
Confrontation
Miyu's school friends begin to wonder and worry about her. Reiha lures Miyu into battle, reveals the reason behind her jealousy and dislike of the guardian, and vows to kill her the next time they meet.
Episode 24
The Boy Who Returned
Chisato's elder brother returns from a trip, and Miyu recognises him as a stray shinma. But Hisae and Yukari, already suspicious of Miyu, surprise her exiting a demon portal.
Episode 25
The Last Shinma
Miyu is told the awful truth about her best friend Chisato, and Hisae and Yukari suffer an undeserved fate.While Larva battles the bird shinma Shidon, Miyu races back to the mundane world to try to change her destiny.
Episode 26
The Eternal Sleep
Alone and faced with the choice between remaining shackled to her destiny or dying, Miyu makes her choice, and kindly, gently, eases Chisato's passing into the young woman's idea of paradise.
