Danny is a charismatic sixteen-year-old boy who murdered his aunt five years earlier, and who was sentenced to spend five years in a juvenile detention center. When he returns to his hometown and starts at the local high school after he gets out, he immediately gets picked on by his peers, who are scared to death of him, and who name him "Socio." Despite this, he still tries to reconnect with Jo and Lacey, his childhood best friends who have lived with the trauma for the last five years after witnessing him murder his aunt. However, Danny becomes a natural suspect when popular classmate Regina Crane is murdered after a party he attended.

Tuesdays on ABC Family are getting more and more Twisted Now midway through its freshman season, Twisted stars Nickelodeon alum Avan Jogia as Danny Desai, an outcast returning to school after spending years in juvie for killing his aunt. But this is no "fish out of water" story. On the heels of Danny's return to school in the premiere, popular Queen Bee Regina (Karynn Moore) turns up dead. Is Danny involved in this death too?
