It's a long voyage by airplane and boats for Gordon to Owarigi, a small, remote South Sea island in the Solomon Islands. Its native population, mostly fishermen, is renowned for its fearless, yet respectful relationship with the numerous sharks there, starting from childhood. Gordon learns from experience how good they are at swimming, surfing, fishing and shooting an improvised crossbow-harpoon. But he also finds how worrisome the environmental deterioration is, due to industrial fishery, pollution and climate change, reducing the catch dangerously, their only major income.

In western Outer Mongolia, Gordon gets to experience the falconer practices of the regions' Kazakh (Turkish people) tribe wit a huge, fearsome bird of prey, the golden eagle. After participating in the laborious training of female eagles to hunt in the stony desert steppe, his 'team' attends a tribal hunt tournament.
Episode 3

Gordon must overcome his greatest predator fear, for the hyena, which has a formidable bite and in packs even overpowers lions. In Ethiopia, which probably has the largest population of these top hunter-scavengers, he experiences how they are accepted to roam around and are sometimes fed, even inside cities, including capital Addis Abeba, as superstition holds they scare off demons, and is instructed how to face them, while pastoral tribes deal with them as cattle killers.
