To find out whether diesel has caught up with petrol, Jeremy and Richard are having a race around the test track with Jeremy in the new Skoda Fabia VRS which has a turbocharged diesel engine and Richard in the Mini Cooper which has a supercharged petrol engine. Jeremy tests his dream car, the Ford GT, which had been ridiculed by Richard and James for its poor fuel economy, lack of boot space and the difficulty of getting in to the car in a normal public parking space. Richard demonstrates the power of two of the four engines of a Boeing 747 airplane by sending cars through the jet wake behind the plane.

Jeremy reviews the 4-wheel drive Jaguar X-Type Estate in the snow.
