The team compare three rival hatch-backs, the Ford Focus RS, Honda Civic Type R and Subaru Impreza, and The Stig takes each for a lap around the test track. Jeremy is blown away by the Noble M12 GTO. Jason looks at buying a used BMW M3. Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.

Episode 3
The team discuss the best looking car of all time and consult some top car designers in the process. Some grannies are challenged to do donuts in a Honda S2000. A Westfield XTR2 takes on a Pagani Zonda in a lap around the test track. Ross Kemp is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.

Episode 4
To celebrate the launch of the James Bond film Die Another Day (2002), the team compare two classic Bond cars, an Aston Martin Vanquish and a Ferrari 575M, with some help from Formula 1 world champion Damon Hill, while The Stig takes both cars for a lap around the test track. Steve Coogan is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.

Episode 5

Richard turns a Rover 820 into a cut-price Bond car, complete with gadgets, on a £300 budget. Richard goes to Germany to drive the £280,000 Mercedes Maybach 62, while Jeremy tries to test drive the much cheaper Mercedes-Benz S Class. The Stig drives the Bentley Arnage around the test track. Jonathan Ross is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.

Episode 6
The Stig tests the super-fast, mid-engine sports car, Honda NSX Type R, while Jeremy drives the spacious French executive car, Renault Vel Satis. In the meantime, the grannies are back for yet another challenge, as Jason takes them to experience the thrills of handbrake parking in a small Mini. Hammond takes the German roadster, BMW Z4, for a spin--and then--Jeremy tests the fast automatic car, the Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG. In the end, British actress, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, or TP-T, is the next star in a reasonably-priced car.

The team take a look at eco-friendly cars and Richard test drives the Saab 9-3. In the first part of a search for the world's fastest faith, six people from different religions take a Subaru Impreza WRX STI for a lap of the test track. Jeremy test drives the Maserati 3200GT, which The Stig takes on a lap of the test track. Richard checks out the Ford Fiesta, Citroën C3, Honda Jazz, Nissan Micra and MG ZR in his search for the best super-mini. Some white van men drive a Ford World Rally Transit van around the track. The team challenge Lotus to modify a Lada Riva into a track car. Michael Gambon is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.

Episode 9
The team compare the Renault Espace, Volvo XC90 Estate, Subaru Forester 2.0 XT, Volkswagen Golf R32, Ford Focus RS, Honda Civic Type R and SEAT Leon Cupra R in their search for the ultimate family car. While driving a Radical SR3, The Stig meets his match in the form of a CAP 232 aerobatic plane. Gordon Ramsay is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car, and he has to taste food that has been cooked on a car's motor.

Episode 10
The team compare the Toyota LandCruiser, BMW X5, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Range Rover to see which is the best off-road vehicle. Jeremy finds out if the Lotus Esprit has aged, nearly 25 years after it was first produced. The fastest Star In A Reasonably Priced Car is announced, along with some other awards, as the team look back on the motoring year. Four more people of different religions take a Subaru Impreza WRX STI for a lap of the test track in the conclusion to the search for the world's fastest faith.
