A very busy and entertaining show on tap this evening, with Tom Poston, Sally Ann Howes, guest panelist, Allen Ludden and Kitty Carlisle on board. First up, to the strains of a popular song of the day, "Pink Lemonade," are three gentlemen, who introduce themselves as Dr. Warren Nadel (New York City dentist) and show business moniker, Randy Starr, composer and singer of Top 40 songs. Sally Ann and Mr. Ludden determine the correct dentist by day and composer/singer at night and weekends. Before leaving, Dr. Nadel/Mr. Starr sings a bit of his latest tune, " Half-Hearted Love." On a more serious note, the second round presents an American man and French woman, respectively as Mr. Hubert Trent and Madame Jeanine Giles, D-Day rescuer and rescued. During World War II, Army pilot Hubert flew from England to Normandy that fateful June 6 day and was rescued and protected by Madame Giles, putting her life at risk. As well, Bud Collyer introduces the French actress, in the audience that evening, who played Madame Giles in the 1962 classic war film, "The Longest Day." Despite that clue, as Mr. Collyer calls it, the panel is stumped, but delighted and moved by the heroic tale. Finally, three British gentlemen are presented as one Mr. Stanley Dangerfield, a world authority on dogs, with a program on the BBC and having lectured throughout western Europe on his canine expertise. Tom Poston, Sally Ann Howes, and Kitty Carlisle accurately peg the gentleman. Bud Collyer bids the panel good night, and they are seen mingling with contestants, impostors and genuine, in the studio, as the closing credits roll.

Gene Rayburn joins regular panelists Kitty Carlisle, Peggy Cass and Tom Poston this evening. In the first round, three gentlemen introduce themselves as Mr. George Tweed, who eluded capture by the Japanese on Guam for over two years. He lived on his wits, in the jungle and eluded the Japanese for all of that time. At the first sight of an American naval vessel, he swam out to sea, was rescued and told U.S. authorities the secrets of Japanese maneuvers and strategies. . For his valor, he was granted the Legion of Merit medal and was hailed a war hero. As well, he wrote the book, "No Man is an Island." Only the two gentlemen on the panel, Mr. Poston and Mr. Rayburn, correctly identified the real Mr. Tweed. The second round presents three young women, who claim to be Native American, all dressed in authentic Native American garb. The young women identify themselves as Ramona Edith Soto. Bud Collyer points out that two of the Native American costumes worn by two of the contestants are over 200 years old. Their claim to fame is to be Miss Indian America, whom Tom Poston, Peggy Cass and Kitty Carlisle identify successfully. Finally, the third round presents three gentlemen who claim to be Mr. Tracy Barnes, hot air balloon expert and named the year's National Hot Air Balloonist. Once again, the two gentlemen, Mr. Poston and Mr. Rayburn, accurately peg the real Mr. Tracy.

In the first round, three young ladies are presented, one of whom is Miss Linda Chanfer of New York City. Miss Chanfer is a chiropractor by day and a nightclub singer by night. Garry Moore is off to an auspicious beginning since he is the only one to identify the versatile young woman correctly. Next up, a Renaissance man - one Mr. Joseph Brown, who began his career as a boxer, is now the chief wrestling coach at Princeton University and a sculptor of some renown as well. Garry Moore disqualifies himself from this round, as he recognizes the real Joseph Brown. However, Tom Poston, Peggy Cass, and Kitty Carlisle are not easily fooled in this round as all three peg the REAL Joseph Brown. Finally, three elegant French ladies claim to be Miss Suzanne Dedule, a Parisian model turned fashion designer. Peggy Cass has only to look at the very chic dress the authentic Miss Dedule is wearing to know that she is the real deal. Host Bud Collyer thanks Mr. Moore for his half hour, sitting on the panel, but urges him to get to his studio, next door, where "I've Got A Secret," is just about to start.

Tom Poston, Peggy Cass, Robert Q. Lewis and Kitty Carlisle are the panelists on this festive New Year's Eve broadcast. The first round presents, perhaps appropriately this last day of 1962, three gentlemen who identify themselves as Charles B. Dempsey, head of the world's largest bar tending school. Peggy Cass was the only panelist to identify Mr. Dempsey correctly. Next up, three ladies claim to be Yolande Bavan, jazz singer and a member of the trio, Lambert, Hendricks, and Bavan. The two gentlemen panelists, Tom Poston, and Robert Q. Lewis successfully peg Miss Bavan. The panel is delighted by the appearance of Mr. Lambert and Mr. Hendricks on stage. Miss Bavan joins them in a rendition of "This Could Be The Start of Something Big." Finally, Round Three proves very interesting when three gentlemen self-identify as Mr. Gordon Leach, chief host of the exclusive Washington D.C. eating club, "The Anteaters." The organization specializes in outre dishes that include all manner of exotic game. Tom Poston and Peggy Cass tell host Bud Collyer that they must disqualify themselves because they know one of the contestants - the first time two panelists have ever backed out of a round. Kitty Carlisle and Robert Q. Lewis unsuccessfully identify Mr. Leach. As it happens, the gentleman recognized by Tom and Peggy is the personal assistant to actor George Montgomery. The show ends with Mr. Collyer thanking the panel and wishing them and the studio and viewing audiences a very happy and healthy New Year.
