Episode 1

A local couple digging a fish pond in their back garden find a skeleton. Complete with a knife, pottery and a valuable buckle. Clearly Saxon the couple wonder if they have a cemetery in their garden.
Episode 2
Invited by the land owner's daughter, the team have 3 days to investigate the Roman mosaics found in a field whilst dog walking. The Roman villa turns out to be in the top 20 of Roman buildings in Britain.
Episode 3
Pegasus caving club find human remains underground where they are excavating. The coroner is informed. Four years later the team investigate the cave system, finding prehistoric and Roman evidence. A barrow is also dug. The barrow has been dug before but never documented. The surface team remove the back fill revealing a beaker burial.
Episode 4
Furthest north for team, digging in a family garden for Viking evidence and excavating Viking boat burial site also. The rivets reveal the pattern.
Episode 5
The Time Team visit Greenwich Palace, built by Henry VIII father and extensively developed by the greatest of Tudor Kings. The team is looking for evidence of two major buildings, long since demolished to build the famous Greenwich hospital.
Episode 6
Over three days the team dig trenches around Merton Abbey Mills, hoping to find Arthur Liberty's silk printing shop. An electricity pylon gets in the way. The river is investigated also. Fabrics are dyed by hand. But in the end just rubble is found in a filled in water channel.
Episode 7
Over the period of the dig, a Roman road, burial and wall are found. All Roman. What was the building used for? Rain hampers digging. Romans buried beside main roads.

Episode 8
Ten years after the after the first program, the team can dig and find burials. An early Saxon steel works is found. Was this Alfred's armory? This is 100th episode. What can they find?
Episode 9
Kew Garden home of George III favorite palace, however after 250 years all that remains of this wonderful building is a sundial. The Time team has only three days to survey the remains of the building, and unlock all its buried secrets. But first they have to find the building first
Episode 10

The team join in with their expertise and instruments before the site is built on. Bronze age cists mean this is a cemetery. Big stones cover each cist and need lifting. Also acid soil has dissolved most of the skeleton, leaving large bones and skulls. Despite all this, these cists are good examples found in Scotland.

Trying to find evidence of a demolished village called Henderskelfe under the lawns of Castle Howard. Maps show where they should be but digging does not find them.

After field walkers and a metal detectorist find pottery and coins, the trenches reveal Roman settlement. A trackway and kiln suggest Roman industry as well as dwelling.

The Police Station car park is the dig site, finding three former prisons. Clothing and personal artifacts are found as well as a re-enactment of a prisoner's daily life.
