Dave AKA Dash, is an aspiring rap artist currently stuck in a dead-end job with his father, TONY. In order to finance his dreams of becoming a top musician, he hustles drugs on the side for local kingpin and ex-lover of his mother, MUSTAFA. With the help of his best friend and talented music producer, Chris AKA Flame, the two catch the attention of music mogul JERICHO and are signed to his label, CURRENCY MEDIA, where they must navigate the fame and betrayal that comes with the territory. Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), headed by Officer HUSSEIN, is focused on catching Mustafa for drug trafficking and attempting to blackmail Dash to help them.. They set up a sting operation to catch Mustafa and his foreign supplier, resulting in a firefight that Mustafa barely escapes alive from.
