This journey begins following the extensive Nebraskan railway system out into the Oglala Grasslands. From there we'll fly south to Fort Robinson State Park, once the site of ferocious battles between American Indians and early European settlers. We'll pass old-west style stagecoaches and galloping herds of buffalo as we head to the town of Alliance, a historic center of the Wild West.

Our journey begins in the capital of Maine, Augusta. Once a thriving seaport, it is now the seat of government for this rugged, scenic state. Dropping south, it's on to the midcoast region in the Gulf Of Maine, and the dramatic cliffs at Pemaquid Point. The journey takes us to Monhegan Island for a birds-eye view of island life.
