Derrick helps a family who struggled during COVID. The family's corgi, Ollie, was born with a deformed limb. Before building the young dog's prosthetic, Derrick has a special surprise for Ollie that involves getting wet.

Derrick meets Agatha, a sassy two-legged goat. He builds Agatha a custom cart to take her from a handstand position back to something more comfortable. Derrick also helps a three legged cow named Mateo from Broken Shovels Farm Sanctuary.

Layka, the first dog to receive the Purple Heart since WWII, lost her leg while on a mission in Afghanistan. Upon returning to the US, she was adopted by her handler, Julian. Now, Derrick arrives to help regain some of Layka's mobility.

At the Lazy J Rescue Ranch in Humboldt, Iowa, Derrick helps a miniature zebu cow named Loretta regain mobility after an accident caused permanent damage to one of her front legs. Derrick also builds a prosthetic for a Doberman Pinscher named Holly.

Second Chances for Lenny

Derrick travels to New York City to help Lenny, an eight year old tripod dog, was found injured shortly after hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico. Even though his new family, Cassidy and Scott, have kept Lenny healthy and happy for many years, life with three legs has taken a toll. Lenny has lost his pep on his daily walks in Central Park. Derrick arrives right on time to build Lenny a custom full limb prosthetic. Despite long odds, Derrick is hopeful that despite a rough start, Lenny will have a second chance at life.

A Buddy for Jojo Tibb

Derrick and Henry travel to New Smyrna, Florida, to meet the Tidd family and their one-year-old labrador puppy, Buddy. Jojo, the youngest of the family, was born without his left arm and recently got Buddy who has a similar condition. Buddy is a rambunctious puppy who loves to run around but the Tidd family are worried that without Derrick's help, Buddy's deformity will start to slow him down and even cut years off his life. Derrick is challenged to work around Buddy's existing toe-nails and build something comfortable for him to use as he grows older.
