This time also marks Alice's return to Port Haven after spending the summer with her father in Minneapolis. And even after nine months, Jacob has hardly ventured off the farm, partly in being coddled by Del who still treats him like he was a child. While a now maturing Alice has found a way to deal with the loss of her friendships with people at the turn of the century, Kat feels the need to go back at least to tell those in 1814 that Jacob is safe. While the collective is still trying to discover who beyond them know about the pond and have time traveled, Alice feels the need to process what she witnessed in her trip to 1974 in not wanting yet to go back, while Kat is more anxious to learn the goings-on from that era. What is happening with information from Alice about 1974 may affect Elliot's current feelings about his father, who he has asked to leave in discovering Vic's selfish ulterior motives in this visit. It also leads to more arguments between Del and Kat, Del outwardly concerned that her daughter is not focusing enough of her energies on Alice in the here and now, while she may be as concerned about people intruding on what was the beginning of her and Colton's romance, especially as Alice learned the nature of Evelyn in Colton's life. And Alice, Del and Jacob all reconnect with people from their past, that past a little more recent for the former two, while Jacob's is twenty-five years in the separation.

Fri, Jan 24, 202542 mins
Del, Kat and Alice's relationships with each other are further expanded. While Kat offers to take Alice shopping for the new school year, partly in lamenting that Alice hasn't seemed to miss her since she moved in with Elliot, it is really Kat's way of saying that she wants to time travel in being curious about the 1965 flyer advertising the meeting to fill in Landry's Pond. While Kat does discover more about that meeting in they traveling back to 1974, Alice instead spends the day with Evelyn, the reason which she does not fully understand until the end of their time together. In this trip, Kat and Del may come to a better understanding of their current day problems, upon which another issue related to Colton emerges and which shakes Del to her core if the implication is true. Also in present day, Lewis requests Jacob's presence at Lingermore, coinciding in time with Alice's time in 1974 at Lingermore with Evelyn. Neither fully trusting Lewis, Del accompanies Jacob to the meeting, which ends up being nothing as they expect. But in the aftermath, Del learns the physical and associated emotional pains for which Jacob suffers and which may affect Lewis's request. Also in present day, Alice goes on a real first date, this time with Noah, she learning the cues of real affection from what she has seen and heard from her mother and her grandmother and grandfather.

Somewhat marring the celebration is Kat's passive-aggressive behavior toward her "rival" Emma, while Elliot is unaware that he should have some worries in Kat's mind being on someone else, and Alice making it known to Del about her friendship with Evelyn in 1974. As Kat and Alice debate whether Casey and Colton are among those who have used the pond, Kat, with Jacob by her side, heeds Jasper's advice in trying to find some answers in 1816 while Alice may have answers of her own in spending time with Evelyn, Colton and Delilah in 1974.
