Old Acquaintances

Maggie observes a herd of walkers in Manhattan; she is attacked by one walker and later she goes to a bar of a motel, where she has to fight for her life. Finally, she meets Negan, who was in the motel and is on the run with the teenager Ginny. Negan is wanted in New Babylon for killing a judge and the marshals are hunting him down. Maggie tells him that Hershel was kidnapped by his former follower, The Croat, and she is tracking him down until the Hudson River. Negan says that The Croat is a sick man, and Maggie says that he owes her and proposes to take care of Ginny at Hilltop if he teams up with her to hunt down The Croat and rescue Hershell. Maggie tells him that Hilltop was relocated and fires a flare; soon, her friend Gina arrives to take Ginny to Hilltop. Meanwhile, the Marshal Perlie Armstrong arrives at the bar where Maggie and Negan were, and he shows the wanted poster of Negan and asks his whereabouts. After torturing the owner of the bar to have information about Negan and Maggie, Armstrong throws her to be devoured by walkers restrained by a fence. When Maggie and Negan are ready to navigate to Manhattan, Armstrong and the two marshals arrive, but the junior one, Jano, is captured by Maggie while pissing. They use Jano as a shield and cross the Hudson River by boat. But soon Armstrong and the other marshal follows them, in the beginning of their journey hunted down by a local gang, The Croat gang and the marshals.

The door of the room where Maggie and Negan are protected is forced by walkers, and they follow the old woman through a hole in the ceiling and the elevator shaft since she stole Maggie's backpack. Then she uses a zipline to escape to another building, and Maggie and Negan follow her. When they reach her, she gives food to Negan as a trade, and they ask whether she can take them to the building where the smoke is coming from. However, she does not speak English and communicate with gestures. Soon they are surprised by a armed couple and forced to surrender. The old woman is Esther, and the couple is Amaia and Tommaso are from the same group, and Maggie lies to them saying that they wanted to go to Canada. They are arrested in a bathroom, but out of the blue, the Burazi gang arrives, and Tommaso releases them. Soon Negan shows how dangerous he is and Amaia's group respect him. Meanwhile, Armstrong heads to the address of his brother Joel, but finds that he committed suicide. At the Bricks, where the Hilltop group has moved, Ginny has adaptation problems and Gina tries to help her.

People Are a Resource

Ginny recalls the day that she lost her stuffed dinosaur and Negan helped her to retrieve it. She arrives at the Hudson River and crosses it in a large cooler to reach Manhattan shore and look for Negan. Maggie, Negan, Amaia and Tommaso hunt down a deer to feed their friends, and then Luther cooks the animal. Negan and Luther have a friction because of a beeswax that Negan asked to heal his hand. Maggie wants that Tommaso helps her to retrieve Hershel telling her how to reach The Croat arena, since he is the only man that has successfully escaped from the sadistic leader. Negan has a moment with Maggie, when he opens his heart and tells what has happened to Annie and Joshua. Meanwhile, Armstrong is brought to the arena in an ambulance and is tested in a sadistic way by The Croat. He learns that The Croat worked with alternative energy before The Fall and used the walkers to generate power to his followers.

Everybody Wins a Prize

Tommaso guides Negan, Maggie, Amaia and her group to the arena. Their plan is Negan attracts The Croat for them to capture or kill him. Negan whistles to bring The Croat downstairs and when Maggie is going to start a car in the garage, she sees Ginny. Negan and The Croat see each other, and The Croat believes Negan is after Armstrong; so, he throws Armstrong off, but Negan helps the marshal to survive for the surprise of The Croat. They are hunted down by The Croat and two Burazi. Meanwhile, a music is broadcast in the arena, and Maggie and the group are under siege of the walkers. They fight to survive and only Maggie, Tommaso, Amaia and Genny survive.

Stories We Tell Ourselves

Maggie, Ginny, Amaia and Tommaso escape from The Croat and the Burazi through the sewer system, which has methane. After a while, Tommaso finds two breathing apparatuses while Amaia question why their plan did not work and the Burazis seem to know that they were coming. Maggie discloses that Tommaso betrayed them and Amaia breaks with her lover. Soon they decide to rest together with a pile of walkers and Amaia is attacked. Tommaso tries to protect her and is also bitten by the walkers. Meanwhile, Negan lures Armstrong and subdues him. But he does not leave the marshal behind and brings him to a school bus, and uses the medical kit to clean Armstrong's wound.
Episode 6
Doma Smo

Ginny shoots her flare gun and Negan, Armstrong and Maggie find her. Negan asks her to leave the island with Armstrong and when she refuses, he tells her that he had killed her father. Now Maggie and Negan will search Hershel in Manhattan. However, Maggie betrays Negan and exchanges him per her son. Armstrong is questioned by her chief about the methane in Manhattan. Negan is introduced to The Dame that makes an offer to him.
