The Voyage of the Mimi

The crew of the small ship named the Mimi gather at the harbor, ready to take off on a whaling expedition. They include an oceanographer, who is the boss on the journey, her deaf assistant, an accomplished marine biologist, two high school students, and a young boy whose grandfather is the ship's captain. Unfortunately, the captain is in a very negative frame of mind and is not very welcoming to his crew, not even his own grandson. Later on, in the real world, Ben Affleck who plays C.T., recalls a time when he visited the famous aquarium in Boston and learned about the oceans that take up much of the planet.
