The other 6 artists are divided into two battle trios, where each artist sings their own song, with a common theme linking the three songs of each trio, from which the coaches choose one artist to go through to the live finals.

The sixteen remaining artists take to the stage for their first live performances, then each coach decides which of their artists they will send through to the next round, leaving the other artists in their team to face a public vote.

The artist from each team that receives the fewest votes is eliminated from the competition. The twelve remaining artists take to the stage for their second live performances, then their coach chooses one artist to send to the next round, leaving their other two artists to face a public vote.

The eight remaining artists take to the stage for their next live performances, then their coach chooses one artist to send to the semi final, leaving the other four artists to face a public vote.

The four artists facing the public vote take to the stage again to sing for their survival before the results of the public vote are revealed, and the two artists that receive the fewest votes are eliminated from the competition. The remaining six artists take to the stage for their next live performances, then face an instant save that will see four of them go through to the grand final.

The final four artists take to the stage for a solo performance and a duet with their coach, then the voting lines are closed and the two artists that receive the fewest votes are eliminated from the competition. The two remaining artists perform an original song before the artist with the most votes is revealed and crowned The Voice of Australia for 2015.
