A newlywed couple move into a house. After they move in, they are assaulted with loud noises causing them to seek the help of a paranormal investigator and dig into the house's past to learn about the previous owner with the goal of having the noise stop. The next even has us learning a brief background of a widow with a child who is able to wed a man after a few years. When they move to a new house after being physically assaulted by a supposed poltergeist in the original house. The attacks don't stop so they move again hoping to get away from the malevolence bothering them with events continuing. The trucker after having been to Colorado on a few of his road trips decides to move his family to the state for the scenery and feeling of comfortability in Colorado. The trucker becomes troubled by strange images that appear in pictures he has take. After each of these instances of paranormal events, educators schooled in psychiatry, psychology, a neuroscientist and a Nobel Prize physicist pronounce their feelings and beliefs about the activities as explained to them. We are also introduced to historians of the areas concerned and authors who have written about haunted places and even sacred sites.

Imagine unexplainable events occurring at one's place of employment, at the property on which one puts down roots and at an entertainment site where one invests everything one has in a future. At the John Stone's Inn things have and do occur as witnessed by previous and current staff and employees. A family moves to Kings Valley, Oregon and events occur that no one can really explain.
