* "Squeaky": While picking flowers in the woods, Smurfette finds a playful mouse and is instantly smitten, but knows she can't take it from its forest home. However, the mouse is very sickly and Smurfette -- seeing it needs help -- decides to nurse it back to health back at the Smurf Villiage. Papa Smurf and the others agree to help, and before long Smurfette has adopted Squeaky. The two bond, but it's short-lived: One morning, Squeaky is found dead outside his home, and Smurfette is crushed. Although Papa tries to help counsel her about Squeaky's death, Smurfette is in deep denial and runs away to a tall mountain. Papa and the others go after her and bring her home. * "The Kaplowey Scroll": While gathering Smurfberries in the woods, Clumsy accidentally falls into a catacomb and finds an ancient scroll. Said scroll is the Kaplowey Scroll, and once the spell is cast, whoever utters the word "Kaplowey" causes whatever he was directing the word at to disappear. Papa Smurf warns his Smurfs not to say the word "Kaplowey," but although they try their best and police each other, several Smurfs accidentally say the word. The consequences are played out, with Sloppy Smurf losing his beloved pet, Fly, and Grouchy (angry at being the victim of Jokey's exploding box) causing Jokey to disappear into thin air. Meanwhile, Gargamel and Azrael are aware of the scroll -- but not yet of its powers -- and search for it, hoping it will help them destroy the Smurfs. Clumsy, thinking he was responsible for the trouble the Kaplowey scroll caused, puts the scroll back, and Gargamel promptly gets at it. When Papa Smurf realizes that Gargamel has the scroll, he and several others immediately rush to Gargamel's hovel to get it before he can begin wreaking havoc.
