Chris Lintott reports from the Palomar Observatory in San Diego, California, USA, and gets the experts view on what is expected from the experiments and instruments carried by the probe and what actually happened. He also interviews amateur astronomers who have set up near the Palomar, and visits the NASA LCROSS project team at Ames Research Centre. Patrick Moore reports the view from Selsea in the UK, with help from other Lunar experts, both professional and amateur.
