However life gets complicated when she begins to have feelings for a new Doctor she's just met.Miranda is busy being the new "Pores Afresh" girl and she enjoys living with Will.Richie,who's now living with Simon,makes his acting debut in the soap "The River".Gab returns from Cuba and she brings Alex a video tape from Evan which frustrates Alex. Peta wants Richie to hide the fact that he is gay.Jason and Caitlin prepare for parenthood.Nathan lives with Kelly and Alex.Alex and Rex kiss.

Will is almost gets killed in an accident in the site and the nightmares from Sam's death return. On his way home he faints. Will starts acting strange and he hangs out with Julie and ends up breaking up with her. The relationship of Alex and Rex is getting really tight and when Evan returns he finds Alex and Rex who wears only boxer shorts. Kelly wants to start a professional training and she doesn't know how to tell it to Simon who feels that she wants to do a professional training and fires her but than gives her her job back. Alex checks Will and she tells him that he is shocked and he needs to see a counsellor but he refuses. Richie is waxing all of his body for his role in the soap "The River".

Evan's back, jetlagged and pissed off. He's found himself suddenly at the bottom of the pecking order. He immediately sets to rectifying that, by attempting to sabotage Alex and Rex's relationship. It's a tactical campaign, fought to the death. But Evan is outflanked. Will and Miranda fall into bed. It's fun and they both know it's not serious. Sort of. They're doing it on the bed, the floor and the couch, which makes it difficult when Richie turns up and sits down on a wet patch. Richie is very much the odd one out. Facing a credit card debt, Gabrielle has to get a job. She goes for an interview for a union position, but the interview feels like a nice date. There's a house-cooling party as Nathan moves out of Evan's room. Kel misses the trashy but golden moments you can only have when your partner lives with you. Caitlin is swinging from bliss to pure fear as the baby's arrival draws near. Jason has to learn how to roll with it.

Richie comes out to his Dad with shocking consequences, Miranda and Will attempt a real relationship, Evan hits on his publisher and deals with his jealousy of Alex's new relationship with Rex. Meanwhile Gab discovers that maybe her boss is flirting with her.Caitlin gives birth to a baby boy and she and Jason decides to call him Angus.

Gab makes a move on her boss to test him, of which he doesn't reciprocate "her feelings" but it does make her embarrassed. Evan hooks up with the publisher again and they double-date with Alex and Rex, however things don't go according to plan when Alex and Evan go off into their own tangent and Evan rejects the publisher's offer of sex even though eh wants it...just from Alex not her. Rex finally opens his eyes and realises that Alex and Evan were sort of hooked up but she says she loves him even though it's quite obvious she loves Evan as well.

Richie loses it cos he cant cope with the fact that Will has everything, the flat, his girlfriend, etc, and he lashes out after he notices Will wearing one of his old t-shirts he thought he'd given to Miranda. It's too much for Richie. He attacks Will accusing him of 'using' Miranda.

As Evan prepares to launch his new novel, Alex's world comes crashing down - Alex basically becomes a clingy whinger like Evan did when Carmen broke up with him. She treats Evan like shit especially when she walks out of his read cos Rex paged her about a patient. He is hurt that when she gets drunk she suddenly loves him. Rex finally breaks up with her. Gabrielle sticks up for a boy getting beaten up at his employment (a car garage) and when she gets a bit fired up and threatens the employer, her boss gets angry and they ultimately sort things out with that URST firmly reignited.

Will and Miranda continue to plan their trip but when Miranda gets a major part in a movie she decides to stay. Alex tries to recover from her break up with Rex and suffers a lot which causes Evan to arrive to hospital and to tell Rex to do something.Rex leaves his job at the hospital for a distant place. Kelly plans a farewell party to Will but Miranda doesn't show up because it's difficult for her to say goodbye to Will. Will leaves earlier than what was planned.

Gabrielle and Dominic decide to remain just friends but the fact they admit their mutual attraction is enough to subside their wanting to spend the night. During the regular lawn bowls session, Jason admits to Simon that he would love to go and visit Caitlin and Angus. Simon eventually convinces him to pack his bags and leave for Sydney and he does so. Also at the lawn bowls to fill in for a no reason vacancy Ritchie, Evan grabs a guy called Christian to help play. They form a bond and Evan, in the heat of the moment tells him that he can move in with Miranda, who is extremely hesitant at first but after Kelly and Simon have a perve and he acts nice, she lets him stay and is at last comfortable. During one horrible day for Alex, she sits at a patients bedside as he dies being the last person he'd ever see, and also discovers that's she's pregnant with Rex's baby!!. Meanwhile Kelly and Nathan fight over the fact they perve on other guys/girls and Alex has to decide whether or not to tell Rex and whether or not she wants the baby.

Alex has to come to terms with the revelation that she was having a baby to Rex. In this episode, she realises that she can't have the baby; she just couldn't love it enough so she has an abortion. Backed by everyone including Rex after the fact, she ends up happy with her decision however feeling slightly responsible for killing her baby and being so lonely without Rex in her life. Miranda discovers that there is a video of her and Richie having wild sex on the internet and its spreading fast. Worried about her Pores a fresh contract, she discovers that Richie had used the tape to turn him and Brad on one night and it somehow got to one of his roommates and they must have copied it. Miranda slaps him and orders him to ring her agent and admit that it was him with another woman and not Miranda. Richie reluctantly does it, and by the end of the episode Richie's looking like a bit of an arsehole. Jason returns home to find Caitlin leaving. He tries to stop her but she gets hurt so he breaks down crying in his room effectively ending (hopefully) the baby story line. Will he ever see his baby Angus and Caitlin again?

So Richie begins the celebrity circuit....including a stint on Rove [Live].Gabrielle and her boss Dominic end up in bed after weeks of sexual tension. Evan tries his best to cheer Alex up after her abortion.

Since Fitzroy Street Kisses hit the shelves, Evan's become a minor literary celebrity. In danger of believing his own publicity, he plays the vague, slightly tortured artiste at an interview, but the journo Jemima is unimpressed. She thinks he's a wanker. Evan is smitten by her disdain. He sets about trying to prove her wrong. When he gives her a petition signed by his friends, Jemima is charmed in spite of herself. She agrees to go out with him. Kelly's in awe of her free-spirited boss, Peace. When Peace puts her in charge of a function in a park, she's determined to rise to the challenge. In between baby-sitting Peace's kids and being on call at all hours, Kelly organises the gig to perfection - only to discover an hour before that she needs a council permit. Gab and Dominic are making love every chance they get, but Gab's parade is rained upon when she meets his lovely wife, Francesca. When she tries to confide in Alex it leads to an argument about old issues. Gab has to admit that when it comes to extra-marital relationships, she no longer has the moral high ground. Meanwhile, Richie's finding his role in "The River" shallow and unsatisfying. He pushes Pia to give Ryan more depth, but she's dismissive. When he tries to quit, she threatens him with litigation.

Richie receives a pile of re-written scripts. His character Ryan has been reduced to three scenes. He panics. What if he's being dumped from the show? When Christian points out that Richie wanted to leave, he's defensive. Sure, but on his own terms. Richie pins Pia down and she confirms his worst fears. Ryan will be leaving Cloudy River to join a Buddhist monastery. Meanwhile, Evan is besotted with Jemima. She hits it off well with Alex too, and he finds himself feeling slightly weird about that. He asks Jemima who she prefers. She laughs. They pash. He's nuts about her. Now that Gab's met Dominic's wife Francesca, she's feeling the full humiliation of being "the other woman". She asks if he's still having sex with Francesca. His silence confirms her fears. Meanwhile, Nathan's faith is becoming an issue, as Kelly feels excluded from a large chunk of his life. She does some research and discovers that Judaism is passed down from the mother - so having a family with Nathan would mean that she'd have to convert. Kelly tries to talk about it, but Nathan keeps fobbing her off. Jason's working closely with a colleague, Melissa. He knows she has a crush on him, and his brain tells him not to go there. Unfortunately he listens to his dick instead. Before he knows it, Melissa's bottle-feeding Angus in his flat at 5am. When Jason rejects her, she sobs in an important meeting. He feels guilty for compromising Melissa's career and despises himself for his weakness.

Gab struggles with the affair, Kelly helps a couple arrange a nudist wedding but struggles when at a family dinner with Nathan discovers that he never told his parents about them and that it was planned that she was just "a friend" to them. She blows up at the couple and soon resolves the issue with Nathan. Richie is written out of his show and Alex becomes closer to Jemima whilst dealing with her colleague with whom she can't just seem to like.

Dominic moves in startling Gab who receives a visit by Francesca warning him that she and the family are part of the package...and that they can't have children cos Dominic had the ability removed. Kelly wants to be Jewish and visits her Gran to help her who makes her realise it wouldn't work. Her Boss, Peece becomes disillusioned with her life but Kelly begins to help her realise how much she actually has done in her career for other people. Miranda can't find a 1-woman show and Christian discovers Richie's gay even though he thought he saw Richie having sex with one of the girls he was gardening for.

After another visit by Francesca and repeatedly exhaustive phone calls to his children, Gabrielle gets sick of Dominic's attachments. But not selfishly. Its just she can't handle the fact that she'll always be that little addition to the family. So she makes the hardest decision yet and goes through with it. Dominic moves out of her life. Just as she gets upset Jason drops by (after a few cute and memorable moments between Jason and Angus) and he hugs her tightly. Alex is sitting at the bar when she discovers that her and Christian have a few things in common but are also extremely different. After a night of flirting she wakes up the next morning to discover that she slept with him. They agree to keep it secret even managing to hide it from Miranda, who discovers her own one-woman show whilst admitting that she had Anorexia when she was younger. Evan cheats to get Jemima to dump him and eventually she catches on and dumps him after she leads him to believe that they want to see other people, leaving Evan with a bitter taste in his mouth. Meanwhile Kelly and Nathan receive visits by the other's relatives in a bid to try and not change the other's religious beliefs. They both agree to do nothing about it for the moment as its not like their going to get married anytime soon. And during all this Richie's sitting at the bar with a constant friend during the entire episode (which appears to be over 3 nights) whom he met at the same time as Alex with Christian, chatting away.

This Episode highlights revenge via many of its characters. Alex, going by her new philosophy;"Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover", accepts a date with a dodgy-looking sleaze. When she discovers that he's taken her to a couple's double sex party she yells out about him being single and a sleaze and Running out causing him to be thrown out by the runner. Miranda gets a lead role in a film but her part becomes slowly but surely taken over by various influences and she sabotages the part on purpose to blow up at the producer. She ends up being fired but getting the pay she was supposed to get for working. Richie hooks in with a guy from a signing party (To be described later in the synopsis) named Gerard. Simon knows him but we don't really know how. Anyway, they get together and Richie tries calling later but to no avail. Suddenly later in the week Richie gets a call and meets him at a bar. Unfortunately Gerard hooks into one of Richie's gay mates at the bar later on in front of Richie. Gab wreaks havoc on Dominic at the workplace using Ilco to her advantage but soon takes it back when Dominic resigns. Evan is harassed by Jemima who sprays fish sauce etc in his room over everything to remind him of her. Eventually she backs away even after she tries to sabotage a party Evan is introducing.

Simon meets up with a guy he passes in the street, Dermott, an Irish backpacker and they become a couple. But Simon's happiness is shortlived due to Dermott's short stay in Australia. Dermott soon leaves but not after gaining Richie's autograph due to his fanatical nature of Richie's ex-show, much to Simon's chagrin. Evan is suffering from mild writer's block. To alieve it he attends Alcohol Anonymous meetings. There he meets Nicole and gains inspiration for her even writing her a short story. When the government takes away his dole cheque, he gains employment at a bar when Nicole walks in to go off the wagon. Their secrets are unveiled as they dance. Gabrielle decides to apply for Dominic's position at the union whilst Miranda performs her One-woman production. The Sad part of the episode is when Kelly is dumped by Nathan due to the many differences they are suffering from. Kelly is determined to keep him.

Evan is having a bad week. He manages to reunite with just about every single girlfriend he's ever had across the series. And they all have information to tell Evan. However he begins to see that Alex was the only woman he came close to loving. It seems a possibility for Jason and Gabrielle to reunite after Jason helps Gab to fight the cause of Women's liberation after Gab is offended by an Ad for shoes. Christian is haunted by the ghost of Will in the apartment as Miranda calls him The Invisible Man - Richie gets a boyfriend who quickly manages to fulfil Richie's hopes of fitting in with his mates and everything. And he realises he does miss Will. And finally, Kelly and Nathan have broken up but can't seem to break away. So Kelly asks Nathan if they can just walk away. After a few false go's, they finally walk away from each other but Nathan keeps walking leaving Kelly looking back...for nothing..

The party of a lifetime begins - Evan is confronted by an ex-high school buddy who was in prison. He develops a crush on Alex and Gab. And Jason professes his continued love for Gab. Miranda receives a call saying that her one-woman show is going to England and she's got to go to Edinburgh. At the same time, Will makes a surprise return and everyone is happy. So happy that Kelly and Miranda take him into the bedroom for a threesome but eventually they stop. Nathan turns up at the party and Kelly has a fight with Nathan about their breakup. Shortly after when Alex decides to grab her bag she catches Nathan in a sexual embrace with another woman. Alex, disgusted, forgets her bag. Richie notices the brother of the girl he almost slept with (When he was gardening with Christian) and on his way home, Nick forgets his jacket. During that time Richie is beaten up. He is only saved with Hoopman (Evan's friend) saves him and throws the brother away. Richie is taken away by an ambulance. Alex comments that she must decide whether to tell Kelly about Nathan or not. And they all sit on the beach reflecting with Will commenting that it is ironic that Richie got gay bashed for sleeping with a woman. They all laugh as the camera pans out..

Evan tells Kelly about Nathan "cheating" she dumps him but is partially pissed off at Alex for not telling her. Evan only knew because Alex told him which upsets Kelly even more. Gabrielle breaks up with Dominic but also rejects Jason and they sign the divorce papers. Evan admits that he regretted stuffing things up with Alex. Will leaves after finally sorting things out with Richie telling him that he was jealous of the other guys taking his place in Richie's life.

In the last episode of the season,Miranda discovers that she can't afford the trip to Edinburgh and Richie turns down her request for a loan. Her dad appears and she finally meets her little sister Gigi. Eventually Simon shows up offering to pay for her trip in exchange for a share in her profits (40% share). She has a going away party and is finally happy for Richie and his new life. Gab is haunted by Francesca and finally the two women begin to get along after a nasty start. The major story line of the episode revolves around Alex's life. She helps a baby with iron poisoning and is helped by Rex who has returned from Mildura. Christian has a seizure whilst she is hanging around and helps him lying about her reasons for being there. Eventually she dumps Christian but her excuse sounds like she's lying to him. Christian is left feeling like it was the seizure that caused her to break up with him. Evan has little to do but he realises he loves Alex a bit later than he should as Alex and Rex finally get together at the Swimming Carnival.
