Oscar Newley's built a new fuel injection system for his racing car and asks Simon to help back it. During a demo race, the car breaks down, and he believes it's been sabotaged by a rival owner/driver. When he's nearly killed in a fire, the car's sabotaged again. But then, his own driver's killed.

In escaping from the police, he hides out with a young woman, She's abducted by Brian's killers and Templar must rescue her and head off the professor from falling into the killers clutches.

Following the death of a man suspected of blackmailing Hallin, Simon believes that Hallin killed Nigel's father, and that Nigel could be next. Hallin and Nigel set out for Wales, with Templar in pursuit to prove or disprove Hallin's guilt, and to make sure that no harm comes to Nigel.

As Graner's suspicions grow, so, too does the possibility that someone might end up dead.

They've come to sell her jewelry to raise money for a return to power. So much is made of the jewels that Templar's suspicious why they want to involve him in their scheme.

The Old Treasure Story

He joins their party to discover whether the treasure is a myth or reality. On arriving at the supposed location, he quickly realises there's a deadly rivalry among the men.
