Episode 1
Man Wai-sum retired from the media six months ago, and SNK news is completely transformed. Kingston Koo takes the helm as he is abruptly appointed as the new director. Deputy Director Cheung Kay-yin takes over Leung King-yan's status. Lau Yim sets up an online media platform, and Hui Sze-ching becomes Information Officer.
Episode 2
Return of the Queen becomes the talk of the town. But some explosion is triggered at the site of the collapsed building, and the helicopter vibrates due to the turbulence. Wai-sum cleverly manipulates the audience's mindset, preserving the precious footage of the explosion caused by the collapse as leverage and paving the way for a comeback.
Episode 3
The chums expect Wai-sum uses the exclusive footage to make a strong comeback to SNK, but no one would have thought Kingston and Ka-yin already have some strategy. Mrs Fong tells her counterparts in the media to ban Wai-sum. Wai-sum launches a counterattack by acquiring the open platform founded by Lau Yim.
Episode 4
As the hostage incident gets out of hand, Sze-ching, in her capacity as an official, intervenes and proposes an unprecedented joint broadcast by SNK and an open platform to defuse the situation. Wai-sum and Lau Yim present their investigation findings, and Ka-yin collates the case details with ample information.
Episode 5
Wai-sum attends business events in her search for a financial backer. Despite being ridiculed by Mrs Fong for submitting to online media, Wai-sum meets Diana Pak, who is a like-minded entrepreneur, and the duo seem to have some possibility for collaboration. The puzzle-solving game hits a snag, but Wai-sum takes a different approach and discovers the identity of the puzzler.
Episode 6
Kingston takes advantage of some new technology gray area to launch AI news anchors and teams up with internet celebrity Tong Chi-yiu to promote AI-related stocks. The emergence of AI anchors has affected Diana's confidence in investing in open platforms. Wai-sum wants to use the government's influence to put pressure on SNK, but Sze-ching is not listening to Wai-sum as she has the upper hand.
Episode 7
The investment bubble bursts due to some error in the SNK livestream, while Kingston and tycoon Little Mr Lau are partying on a yacht. After the party, female internet celebrity Paula Lam is found dead on the shore. All those on the boat claim she accidentally fell into the sea and died.
Episode 8
Wai-sum retrieves Paula's medical history and her name is cleared. While investigating King-yan's death, Ka-yin questions Bro Kau, the head of the equipment department. But someone's nerve seem to be touched. Wai-sum and Lau Yim discover some shocking secret on Paula's old tablet computer.
Episode 9
The investigation into the elevator platform accident hits a snag. Sze-ching creates some promotion opportunity for herself by handing over internal documents to Wai-sum. Wai-sum persuades the victim's family to give an interview, but family members believe in SNK's influence.
Episode 10
Wang Kee Restaurant's gesture of kindness in distributing meals leads to suspected food poisoning among the elderly. Sze-ching and the restaurant owner are acquainted, but she cannot intervene because she is a civil servant. Wai-sum follows up on the investigation, and Lau Yim suspects she has arbitrarily made some deal with Sze-ching.
Episode 11
Wai-sum and finds a new Chief Director for the open platform, and the chums are shocked to realize he turns out to be Ying-fei. Ying-fei delivers some surprisingly news that reveals the whistleblower left a suicide note and disappeared after telling Wai-sum about shady dealings of the pharmaceutical company.
Episode 12
Due to the whistleblower incident, Wai-sum's resentment over the unexplained cause of King-yan's death is triggered, and she hopes to piece together the truth behind what really happened through hypnotherapy. Actually, on the day of the "once-in-five-hundred-years" rainstorm, SNK offered some reward to citizens to act as "civilian reporters", and Wai-sum and King-yan had some argument.
Episode 13
Rewind to the day of the "once-in-five-hundred-years" rainstorm, and flooding occurs in many districts in Hong Kong. King-yan requests some information from Sze-ching and sets off to cover the source of the flooding. Meanwhile, floodwaters rush into an underground shopping mall, trapping Ka-yin who insists on livestreaming despite the potentially fatal situation she's in.
Episode 14
The King-yan matter is concluded, and Wai-sum goes to some faraway place to relax. She reaches the mysterious Krustallos where students firmly believe in the miraculous effects of energy crystals and eagerly hope to undergo "purification" by the cult leader Master Wang Kwong.
Episode 15
Wai-sum conducts an exclusive interview with Master Wang Kwong to clarify common misconceptions about Krustallos. Chi-yiu makes a preemptive move by releasing a special report that alleges Wai-sum's credibility is questionable as she has been "brainwashed". Ying-fei proposes an internal vote to remove Wai-sum to prevent negative public opinion from affecting the open platform and leaving Lau Yim and her chums caught in a dilemma.
Episode 16
Krustallos' scam is exposed, causing the open platform to become the top online media and earn a place among the "CGO-based Media". Ka-yin refuses to be Kingston's accomplice and makes a crucial decision. Wai-sum wants to reopen the investigation into the pharmaceutical company, and the key to solving the case has something to do with old batches of problematic drugs, but they are nowhere to be found.
Episode 17
After winning the Wales Torch Award, renowned journalist Yuen Suet-kwun returns home in glory. And she attracts more attention than Wai-sum. Kingston sends his people to covertly look into Suet-kwun's past as he wants to prevent Mrs Fong from recruiting her to SNK and diminishing his influence.
Episode 18
Sze-ching is unhappy with Kingston hijacking the eight-channel joint broadcast and stealing the spotlight. SNK further reveals Wai-sum's unknown past, and Suet-kwun forces Wai-sum to boldly deal with her childhood trauma. Wai-sum and Suet-kwun appear on the open platform and reveal the truth and anguish that have been long forgotten.
Episode 19
Ka-yin jumps ship and joins NovusVera. She makes a high-profile move to poach the the elite. Her first target is Lau Yim as her aim is to create a news utopia. Wai-sum exposes some overseas scandal about Suet-kwun. And NousVera's parent company denies investing in Hong Kong.
Episode 20
The Professional Journalism Awards Ceremony brings together the elite, and even antisocial Ka-yin has to make changes to find a financial backer. Wai-sum is abruptly called upon to console someone. SNK is presented with a special award, and Wai-sum goes on the stage and snatches the award from Kingston.
Episode 21
Ka-yin firmly believes Suet-kwun is still hiding somewhere in Hong Kong. However, to protect her own interests, Sze-ching decides to quit, and the duo unhappily go their separate ways. Kingston launches a surprise attack by exploiting rumors about Mrs Fong in an attempt to upend the power structure of SNK.
Episode 22
Lau Yim unexpectedly gets involved in a child abuse case, but the investigation runs into difficulties due to the blurry video footage. Meanwhile, Wai-sum tries her best to win over SNK directors, and her power struggle with Kingston becomes more and more intensified. Ka-yin just has to intervene to help Lau Yim investigate the child abuse case.
Episode 23
Kay-yin leads the open platform to engage in journalistic warfare, and the pressure of public opinion is again put back on to Diana. Diana has to make a decision that entails whether to retrieve the cancer treatment device to save the patient's life. Wai-sum makes a comeback in grand style and ascends to the pinnacle of power of SNK.
Episode 24
SNK stock price abnormally surges after the new plan is announced. Wai-sum teams up with the open platform to investigate Fuyu Fund, the mastermind behind the deals. Chi-ngo delivers some mysterious message that reveals the connection between 3U Park and SNK. Some IPO promoted by Kingston has sparked a frenzy.
Episode 25
Wai-sum and Ka-yin team up with other media organizations to expose the true face of Fuyu Fund. Kingston still wants to manipulate public opinion, unaware that he has been drawn into a precarious situation. At the critical moment, a mysterious individual appears on the livestream, threatening Chi-ngo's life and forcing Wai-sum to read some script in support of Fuyu.
