The daughter of a senior Saudi official and documents her escape from her family and her country. Originally trying to seek asylum in Australia via Bangkok, Rahaf ends up barricaded in a hotel room in the Bangkok airport after Bangkok airport officials refuse to allow her to continue on her journey. She pleads for help from UNHCR. Many officials attempt to entice her out of the room. An Australian journalist is involved in assisting her in her plea for help from UNHCR. It appears from the documentary, that Saudi Arabia has connections in the Bangkok airport who are alerted when Saudi women arrive there. It is a very disturbing insight into the plight of women in Saudi Arabia, and what happens to Saudi women who, while attempting to escape are caught and returned to Saudi. It also summarises the plight of other young women who have attempted to escape.
