Amelia takes finding the right dance recital look into her own hands. Amelia worries about finding the right look for her dance recital without her mother's advice. Things go awry at the make-up store but thankfully, she has Cleo in her corner.

Amelia sabotages her own unauthorized field trip. Amelia decides to forge her father's signature on a permission slip so she can go on a field trip with her classmates and finally make a real connection with them but she has to face the consequences when things go wrong.

Amelia tries to continue the birthday traditions that her late mum started with Nathan. When things go awry, she worries she's let both Nathan and her mum down. Victoria offers to tutor Vikram in order to get her last volunteer hour for school. She quickly learns that knowing something and teaching something are two different skills.

Victoria tries to bond with her dad and brother through improv. To bond with her father and brother, Victoria crashes their improv class. Things go awry when she learns she's terrible at it. Meanwhile, Nick enlists Cleo to help restore his damaged reputation with her hometown of Chicago.

Amelia struggles to communicate with her first crush. Amelia, with the help of her BFFs, tries to repair the damage when she sends out the wrong message to her first crush, as Tony fights the system to stop Amelia from being streamlined at school.

Tony adjusts to Cleo being the superstar for a change. Work interferes with play when Tony accompanies Cleo to a dental conference, where she is in high demand and he's left to amuse himself. Meanwhile when Victoria and Nathan go to the movies together, Victoria is bullied for her cosplay.

Amelia feels the pressure when she accidentally joins the soccer team. Amelia's worst fears come true when she's pressured to join the school's soccer team and is immediately promoted to captain. Cleo tries to adjust to Charlie not being a baby anymore.

Tony and Nathan are profiled at the mall. A trip to the mall turns into an unsettling incident for Tony and Nathan and a lesson on racial profiling for Roger and Charlie. While Victoria's study time at the mall turns into a learning experience and a friendship she didn't expect.

When Amelia's best friend and her mother come to visit from England things don't go exactly as anticipated with her past and present friends, forcing everyone to reconsider what friendship means to them. Cleo struggles to host her icy guest.

Tony and Cleo forego using a professional plumber to swap out their kitchen faucet, deciding instead to tackle it together. What could go wrong? Victoria, while working on a group project, learns to let go of her own ideas so the group can maximize their strengths and get the best grade.

Amelia learns to set boundaries when Nathan takes over the movie she's making with her friends. Nick reluctantly accepts Roger's invitation to his apartment and when Nick keeps finding excuses to stay, we learn a secret that is hard for him to admit.

Cleo's unresponsive father joins the family for a night. Cleo's father Harvey comes to stay with the family for a night after Tony negotiates a better room for him at his retirement home. With Nick's guidance, a fragile Roger attempts to date again.

After Amelia wins the songwriting competition and a chance to sing live on the school's website, she accidentally promises everyone that a famous musician is going to sing for her instead. When Nick switches sponsors for more money, Nathan worries his cousin is a sell-out.

When Cleo botches a big presentation because she's burning the candle on both ends, she discovers shocking news that will change the family's life forever. Family and finances collide as Tony faces his biggest test yet as Nick's agent - negotiating a new contract.
