High school standout Jack Morton enters college. Along with the usual freshman experiences of forming friendships, developing rivalries and getting stuck with a weird roommate, Jack aggressively pursues joining the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose, a secret society of capable witches, in which to lay the foundation for revenge (aided by his grandfather) against the man who caused the death of his mother. There is, however, a snag in the plan: someone or some thing killing off the pledges.

Guided by Pops to believe that a werewolf stalks his fellow Neophytes, Jack, having lost his secret order eligibility thanks to Kyle, goes on the hunt and finds two allies at his side, but the quest gets sidetracked by a beast of a completely different nature. Once out of the mud, though, Jack's back in the hunt, only now as prey and pelted by a pelt.

Introduction to Ethics, Part One

Against his wishes, Jack awakens to find himself the newest member of The Knights of St. Christopher, another secret campus society, this one specifically dedicated against those in The Order (of which Jack is again a member). While shielded against being torn open and his heart eaten, Jack contends with Gabrielle learning an advanced magic spell with a kickback that could prove fatal to one of their professors. As Jack also contends with Pops' impatience for proofs against Edward, Alyssa becomes one of four magical students under special assignment from Edward to unlock an ancient obsidian block that magically protects a hidden prize inside.

Introduction to Ethics, Part Two

Coming to terms with the death of Prof. Clarke, Jack proposes an alliance with his werewolf captors against dark magic and one specifically dark witch (aiming to curtail the rampant killings). As he teaches them a bit of their own history (and learns of magic's half-life), they in turn train his control of "Silverback," who hasn't taken on a champion (host) in fifty years. Meanwhile, Alyssa officially gives Jack notice. She can no longer be his tutor in order to concentrate on helping Edward retrieve the second part of the Vade Maecum Infernal, a very dark, very powerful book of magic hidden inside the dream world of Richard De Payne, the living corpse of a centuries-old knight.

Homecoming, Part One

An unwelcome but powerful necromancer returns to The Order with a proposal to help Edward's search for more missing pages to the Vade Maecum Infernal in return for a life-saving favor, which will involve five human sacrifices. The issue over how to thwart The Order's Elemental Transference spell causes dissension among the werewolves, with Jack at one end waiting to find out what it's all about and Lilith chomping at the bit at the other for an outright slaughter.

Homecoming, Part Two

Failure of the Elemental Transference spell puts a vengeful, future-seeing necromancer on Alyssa's and Jack's trail for the return of her sister's necrophone. Meanwhile, discovery of the werewolf invasion in the temple sets Kyle on a wolf hunt. Armed with True Sight, he leads a reconnaissance team (Gabrielle and Brandon) and puts Hamish in immediate danger from a magical wound.

Learning Jack's secondary secret proves that Alyssa can't handle the truth, which puts Jack and Pops at odds. Vera tasks Gabrielle with finding out any truths about werewolves on campus, power and authority that quickly goes to Gabrielle's head when she follows Vera's strong suggestion to use a magical, lie-detecting/lie-punishing glove. The pack worries when one of their order quietly disappears, Vera searches for truth past Edward's charm, and Randell pays a steep price for hooking up with a stranger.

As Edward faces off with Jurgen, Jack and Alyssa face the question of their mutual attraction for each other versus allegiances to dangerously opposing organizations.

Finals, Part One

Successful at restoring Lilith's memory, the wolf boys ready to have Jack officially quit The Order, get his mind wiped, then get restored, too; however, the Vade Maecum Infernal itself has other plans, delivering a fatal paper cut that separates Silverback from Jack and reveals a special connection to itself. As Pops heads out for revenge over Jack's death, Jack meets fallen friends in a collective unconscious afterlife, whereby he discovers how to defeat Edward Coventry. Edward, meanwhile, gives Alyssa a repulsive assignment.
Episode 10
Finals, Part Two

With Jack in near-suicidal grief, Alyssa brings in an ally to help him and the Knights of St. Christopher against Edward and The Order. As Edward nears the end of the time allotment to become one with the Vade Maecum Infernal, he readies to sacrifice of his first-born son but crucially doesn't realize who that is. Meanwhile, Kelper and Gabrielle interrogate a captive and lead an attack. The endgame nears for all.
