A young journalist discovers that Christine was famous at an earlier age and wants to make a follow up story about how she lives now. Marnie (18yo) has met the man that she thinks she wants to marry, an older man who is an architect. The family is put into a controversy about him being too old for Marnie. But Marnie is completely in love with him and wants to go away with him Christine wants her to take a second look before she makes the move to get married while facing her own dilemma with the journalist.
