Christine's family is the subject of a live TV interview show. The invasion of the TV crew into their home and the antics of the seven children lead to complications, including a performance by sons Peter and Paul (Dack and Dirk Rambo).

A young journalist discovers that Christine was famous at an earlier age and wants to write a follow-up story about how she lives now. Marnie, 18, has met the man that she thinks she wants to marry: an older man who is an architect. The family is horrified that he's too old for Marnie, but she's completely in love with him and wants to go away with him. Christine wants her to take a second look before she makes the move to get married; meanwhile she faces her own dilemma with the journalist.
