While Fester is under the impression she has a tin figure because she said she is with the National Basketball Association Cheerleading squad Laker Girls, he is insecure about his own shapes. He has a date planned with the girl Yvette. While having a hesitating start he tries to start his diet but faints trying to because he does not know how to. Gomez recommends training his way to the right weight which also fails. Morticia advises to hire a personal trainer of which the plan turns out to proceed a little better than the other ideas. To shape him further up Morticia lends him some books for better self-esteem, Gomez lends him a suit and Grandmama applies make-up on Fester's face. When Yvette shows up her appearance is not what Fester expected of it. She turns out to be not a cheerleader but a chauffeur of the Laker Girls. While Fester is less fat now it turns out Yvette is attracted to men with a more round figure. For this reason she aborts the date immediately and leaves Fester at his home.

When sleepwalking Gomez goes out again Morticia decides to follow him. She is however seen by Fester who is of opinion she is acting suspicious. Gomez, Fester, Morticia and Grandmama set out temporary traps to bust each other. When the night falls however and the alarms ring all suspects turn out to still be in bed. The temporary traps manage to capture the thief which then tries to escape but the traditional traps that were already part of the Addams Mansion re-capture him.
