Musicians appearing with Jazz at the Philharmonic include: the members of the Oscar Peterson Trio (Oscar Peterson on piano; Ray Brown on bass; and Herb Ellis on guitar); Coleman Hawkins on tenor sax; Roy Eldridge on trumpet; Illinois Jacquet on sax; Flip Phillips on tenor sax; Jo Jones on drums; and Stan Getz on tenor sax.

Cole opens with "I Want to Be Happy," "April Love" and "I Am in Love," special guest Betty Hutton then sings "Now That I Need You." Cole plays a speedy "Tea For Two" on the piano, and the two then perform a medley of one another's songs. Next, Hutton and Cole perform "Anything You Can Do" from "Annie Get Your Gun," followed by "That Old Soft Shoe" and a dance number. For the "memory song," Cole performs "Once in a While" from his new album "Just One of Those Things".
