Munster Masquerade

Marilyn's hanging out with Tom Daly, a young man from a good family. She's very happy with him, but he hasn't met Marilyn's family. So, Tom's family sends an invitation to Herman and Lily, for a masquerade dance party. But Grandpa hasn't been invited, and Lily intercedes and calls to Mrs. Daly, asking if Grandpa can go to the party too. Surprised, Mrs. Daly says that there's no problem if that Grandpa person assists to the party. Mrs. Daly tells her husband about the matter. They're suspecting about Munsters' good manners. Herman disguises himself as King Arthur, wearing a heavy armor. Lily disguises herself as a shepherdess (quoting Herman, she looks "positively awful") and Marilyn is a pilgrim. Grandpa disguises himself as Napoleon, mixing up the potions of Marlon Brando and Charles de Gaulle. At the party, things aren't going so good, because Mr. Daly hasn't talk with Herman. Besides, Grandpa is behaving in an eccentric way with Mrs. Daly. Marilyn encourages his uncle to talk with Mr. Daly, who has disguised himself as Frankenstein monster. Herman tells him that he reminds him to someone, adding that is curious that he isn't wearing a costume in his own masquerade party. Of course, Mr. Daly will get mad with Herman. The moment of award the best costume arrives. Herman gets the prize for the best King Arthur costume, and everybody asks him to take off the helmet. One man disguised as George Washington says that Herman is the best, because he's wearing a mask over another mask. Lily gets angry, and tells Herman that they're leaving, because they have been insulted. Herman's having fun, but after seeing himself at the mirror, concludes that he's been insulted. Marilyn is angry as well with Tom's family. Tom takes Marilyn home, where he finally meets Herman and Lily, but without their costumes. Tom runs away after seeing Herman, but Marilyn feels relieved about that. She didn't like Tom's family anyway.

My Fair Munster

Marilyn is very depressed, because all her boyfriends run away when they meet Herman. But Marilyn thinks that is all her fault and maybe there's something wrong with her. Grandpa wants to help her, preparing a sort of love potion, with all kind of ingredients, like a woman tear or Frank Sinatra's charming. Meanwhile, the postman and Yolanda Cribbins, the neighbour, are talking very bad about the Munster family. The postman is very afraid of delivering the mail at the Munsters' house, while Misses Cribbins thinks that the neighbourhood uses to be nice, until the Munsters arrive. Next morning, Grandpa is planning to pour his love potion on Marilyn's plate. There will be oatmeal for breakfast. Grandpa pours out the potion on the plate. But Marilyn leaves without having her breakfast. Lily will return all Marilyn's oatmeal to the saucepan. Herman, Lily and Eddie will eat the oatmeal with the love potion. The potion starts to make effect. Herman and Lily become seductive for each other. In his way to school, Eddie will be chase by a bunch of girls, trying to catch him. At the garden, Misses Cribbins will find Herman very attractive, while the postman starts to flirt with Lily. During the night, they will receive the visit of the postman and Misses Cribbins, whom start chasing inside the house both Herman and Lily, trying to seduce them. Grandpa finds out what is happening, when Marilyn tells that she hadn't oatmeal that morning. As a matter of fact, Misses Cribbins asks Herman to call her "Yo-Yo". However, when the effect passes, the postman and "Yo-Yo" will see Herman and Lily as they are. So, they will run away from the house. Marilyn tells Grandpa that she prefers to be herself, instead of drinking love potions.

While Herman and Grandpa are watching television, a curious system allows them to see Lily and Marilyn talking in the kitchen. They hear something about a new child, coming to visit the house for a few days. Herman believes that Lily's expecting a child and he gets excited for all the matter. The truth is that Marilyn will care for a boy named Elmer, the family's doctor son, for a few days. Herman is a little bit worry because Lily hasn't told him yet about the new son. He'll try to make Lily to tell him all about Eddie's new "playmate" in a discreet fashion. But Lily gives Herman the doctor's card, and Grandpa advice him not to worry about Lily, that women are specialized in hiding these secrets. Grandpa comes up with the idea of making a visit to the doctor that night. But Dr. Edward Dudley doesn't see anything without his glasses, and he won't see that Herman's one of his patients. Herman asks Dr. Dudley whether Lily's expecting a boy, and believing that Herman is talking about Elmer, he says yes, that everything's set. Next day, Lily is thinking about giving Herman a new car for his birthday. She goes to a car lot and will choose three cars. Herman and Grandpa are still confused about the matter of the new son, and when Lily's speaking with the clerk by phone, they'll believe that she's talking about the baby. However, when Elmer comes to the house he goes to play with Eddie. Lily tells Herman that Eddie's new playmate has arrived and that he's in the living room. Elmer brought a Frankenstein boy doll, and when Herman sees the toy walking mechanically, he'll think that it's his newborn son. Eddie and Elmer explain to Herman that is only a toy. He faints and later Marilyn explains all the matter to his uncle. But Herman will cheer up after seeing that Lily has bought to him a new car, actually, a three-in-one car.

Herman is blending metal tubes in the living room, in front of Eddie and his impressed friend Wilbur, whose father is a wrestling promoter. Wilbur tells to his father about Herman's special skill to bend tubes and even lift cars. Herman sees an article in a magazine, about the importance of opening an special bank account for children future education. Wilbur's father calls Herman and makes an offer to him: to become a wrestler. Herman's thinking about an extra job, in order to open an account for Eddie's future education. This could be a great opportunity, but Herman doesn't want that Lily and the family find out. The promoter says that that won't be a problem, because he could fight wearing a mask. So, Herman becomes a wrestler called "The Masked Marvel", but while he's training upstairs Grandpa appears and discovers Herman's secret. Herman asks Grandpa not to tell anything about the matter to Lily. That night takes place the first fight, and Grandpa's watching it at the television. All family is gather together in the living room watching the fight, and after looking the size of "The Masked Marvel", they will sympathize with his adversary, except Grandpa. But Herman loses the fight and in the dress room confesses to Grandpa that he felt touched by his contender, because during the fight he told that he has to support his family and his poor mother. Grandpa gets angry, and tells Herman that he has to think about Eddie first. But the next days occurs the same, Herman loses all the fights because he's feeling touched by the sad stories of his contenders. The promoter comes up with a contest: an special prize for that who could stand the longer time with the Masked Marvel and beat him. The Strangler, a professional wrestler, will be the contestant, and his manager tells him that there's nothing to worry about, because he'll give sleeping pills to the Marvel. Grandpa assists to the fight and the cheater is next to him. The family is watching the fight and discovers that The Masked Marvel is Herman. Herman feels asleep during the fight and The Strangler seems to be the winner, but Grandpa finds out that he's in fact a professional wrestler. Grandpa tries to warn the people, but he prefers to use his magic to help Herman, who wins the fight and with the monetary prize opens the account for Eddie's education.

Grandpa has come up with a new invention: an instant gasoline pill. He tests the pill in the family automobile, and convinces Herman and Lily about the pill effectiveness. Even Grandpa has sent one sample to a corporation trying to sell it, and after an explosive test the president gets convince that the instant gasoline pill has future in the car industry. The president sends an executive to close the deal with Grandpa. Meanwhile, Grandpa's writing the exact formula in a paper, but Marilyn is worried because she's been suffering insomnia for the last two nights. Grandpa tells her that there's nothing to worry about, and after trying hypnotism with Marilyn, he gives her a magic potion in order to help her to get some sleep. But something is wrong next day, because Marilyn doesn't wake up. Then, Grandpa discovers that he uses the Sleeping Beauty potion, and only the kiss of a Prince (as in the original story) will brake the spell. Herman puts an ad in the paper, saying that a Prince is required. Two actors comes to the house, thinking that they're requiring the prince for some play. However, when the executive arrives for the second time looking for Grandpa, Herman sees that the young man would be the perfect prince, he even's named Dick Prince. Herman and Lily tells Prince that they're passing by a family crisis. Grandpa says that he will sign the contract if Prince kisses Marilyn, quoting Herman the "ugly-ducky" of the family. But Prince discovers that Marilyn is a pretty girl, when he kisses her the spell brakes and she wakes up. Later, Grandpa signs the contract, but Lily says that they won't accept any money, as a kindly gesture for Prince and his help.

Family Portrait

Herman finds out that his family has won a contest, organized by Event Magazine, as the American Average Family of the year. The prize includes $5,000 dollars, and in order to win the money the magazine must send two reporters, to make an article and take some pictures of the family. Every member of the family must appear in the family portrait, and things got complicated when Grandpa says that he'll be out of the house. Herman gets furious with Grandpa, and demands him to stay with the family, in order to get the money prize. But Grandpa has made up his mind and that day he disappears. Herman, Lily and Marilyn are looking for him desperately, but there's no signal of Grandpa inside of the house. Herman and Lily decide to go out and look for Grandpa, in the places most frequented by him. They go to a restaurant, they look at the square, but nothing. Meanwhile, Marilyn receives the two reporters in the house. One of them begins to flirt with Marilyn, while the other starts to feel scared when he sees estrange things in the house, like Eddie playing or even Grandpa, who in fact never left the house and was hided in the basement. Herman and Lily return without success. During the night, the reporters are trying to get some sleep, but the scared one gets up for a glass of water and when he sees Herman and Lily walking in their pajamas by the corridor, he feels more scared and with his fellow begins to explore the house. However, when they bump into Herman, Lily and Grandpa, they run away from the house, despite the warnings of the magazine director, about returning without the average family story. Next day, the Munsters family portrait appears in the cover of the magazine. But there's a little detail, because in the cover says that this average family likes to celebrate Halloween every day of the year.

Grandpa Leaves Home

Herman and Grandpa have a fight. The thing is that Herman is reading Edgar Allan Poe's The Murders in the Rue Morgue (a comic tale for him), but Grandpa wants the window opened. Herman prefers the window closed because of his sinus. Grandpa doesn't listen Herman, and they have a fight in front of Lily, who tells them to calm down. But Grandpa claims that nobody wants "this broke old man" anymore in the house and he'll leave forever. Lily gets worried about Grandpa and his decision of leaving, but Herman tells to her that there's nothing to worry about, because Grandpa is only pretending everything. Eddie talks with Grandpa while he's packing. Later, Eddie confirms that Grandpa's leaving and now Lily's more worried about it. But Herman has a plan: pretend that nothing is happening when Grandpa says good bye. Herman's right, Grandpa is only pretending but when he sees that the family doesn't seem disturbed, he crosses the door and leaves the house. Next day, Lily is angry with Herman and his conclusions. Eddie sees in the paper that Grandpa's working in a night club as a magician. Lily calls Grandpa at the club, but he tells that everything is fine and he's having a great success. Nevertheles, Herman and Lily go to the club in order to convince Grandpa, who's about to perform a very dangerous Houdini-type magic act: locking himself in a trunk with chains, and try to get out unassisted in 10 seconds. The act doesn't seem to go well, and Herman tries to help Grandpa, but he gets angry and says that he doesn't need his help. To save his act, Grandpa opens the trunk turned into a wolf, then closes and gets out as The Count (his artistic name) again. Grandpa declines the offer from the night club manager about making an artistic tour with the wolf-act, because he prefers to come back with his family.

Herman's Rival

Grandpa finds out that Herman has lent to his brother-in-law Lester $5,000 dollars, in fact, all the money of the family bank account. Grandpa thinks that this was a crazy thing, but he and Herman trust in the word of Lester that he'll pay all the money back. Nevertheless, Lily and Marilyn discover that the bank account is empty, and this couldn't mean anything but Herman's bankruptcy. In order to face the situation, Lily begins to look for a job with the assistance of an agency. The only job that fits for Lily is reading palms in a tearoom, running by Ramon. Lily doesn't want that Herman finds out anything about it, and goes to work everyday after Herman leaves the house, returning just before Herman arrives. However, Grandpa begins to suspect and worried about his son-in-law, begins to full Herman's head with stories about a possible affair of Lily with another man. They start to follow Lily to her job and spy her during a reading session with Ramon, assuming that the whole thing is a romantic matter. But one day, Herman arrives early home and discovers Lily arriving almost at the same time. She doesn't tell anything, but now Herman's very angry and encouraged by Grandpa, leaves home heading the tearoom to give a lesson to Ramon. In this situation, Lily confesses all to Grandpa and she calls Ramon to warn him. Lily and Grandpa follow the jealous Herman, in order to try to stop what probably will be a massacre.

Grandpa's Call of the Wild

Eddie comes up with a great idea for the family: to camp at the woods. Everybody agrees to spent a few days with nature. Marilyn will stay at home because she has to study, and Lily asks her for to look after Spot. Everything is set in the car, and The Munsters are on their way to the wood. But when they're about to arrive, the rangers at the inspection hut see that the family looks very suspicious, because they've heard by radio about a group of eccentric people causing problems. The family settles near the lake, in a very nice spot, where Herman could fish with Eddie. Grandpa starts to behave in a strange way. He feels so bad when Herman begins to hammer a stick at the ground to set up the tend, because that remembers him the way that vampires are killed. Later, Herman and Eddie are fishing at the lake. Herman won't catch anything fresh, but rather cooked, when he catches a pair of fried fishes from a camp in the other side of the lake, and even a fried chicken. At night, it will clear that Grandpa is feeling a little bit homesick, hearing a coyote howling. He's so anxious to join with some of that fellows wolves, but Lily warns him that the last time he ended up with a police dog. Next morning, Lily discovers that Grandpa has gone. Herman says that there's nothing to worry about, because he can take care of himself. Lily's feeling worry about Grandpa, and later they hear by radio that a wolf has been caught. They added that, in fact, was a Transylvanian wolf. But Herman prefers to stay at the camp, because he won't allow that Grandpa spoils his vacations. Lily decides to go to the ranger station by herself to claim Grandpa. At the station, the rangers won't believe Lily's story that the wolf is, actually, her father. But she talks to the wolf, and after scolding him, Lily hears that Grandpa doesn't remember how to become a human again. Nevertheles, the rangers won't allow Lily to take the wolf with her. That night Herman decides to rescue Grandpa. He opens the cage without problems, but one of the rangers sees Herman and he will think that is a big bear taking away the wolf. Next morning, the family hears by the radio a report, saying that a big bear has taken away the wolf. But the rangers will be checking out at the inspection hut. Lily manages to make Grandpa looks like a fancy fur, wearing it at her neck. At home, Herman will give to Grandpa a potion, in order to help him to become normal again. He takes it, and while he's chasing a cat he'll become human again.

Don't Bank on Herman

Lily asks Herman a very simple task: go to the bank and withdraw all the money from her tax account. The bank managers are worried about a robbers disguised in a Halloween fashion. So, when Herman and Grandpa arrive to the bank, they're mistaken for robbers. The frightened cashier, without saying a word, gives them all the money in cash. Surprised, Herman and Granpa return home with a big sack of money. They count all the money and gives $18,300 dollars, much more than Lily expects. Angry because of Herman mistake, Lily explains him that the correct amount of money should have been $618 dollars. Then, Lily asks Herman to return the rest of the money to the bank. Herman sees his dreams of a rich man fly far away, he doesn't even sleep well that night and decides to go to the bank during the night to return the money with Grandpa. Of course, the bank's closed, but Grandpa manages to open the door and even the bank safe. But when they're inside of the bank safe the door closes accidentally and locks them inside. They try everything, even use a phone to call the police or somebody. Their salvation will be in a couple of crooks, which blow out the door without knowing the surprise that they'll find inside. Herman and Grandpa become a pair of involuntary heroes, that helped the police to put in jail the robbers.

Dance with Me, Herman

Lily finds an invitation inside Marilyn's bureau drawer, for a party taking place in her school. Lily thinks that Marilyn's trying to hide them the invitation and she decides to talk about it during dinner. She wants to do it in a subtle fashion and advices Herman to lead the conversation to the party subject. But when everybody is gathered together, Herman asks Marilyn straight forward about the party. After Lily has explained why she founded the invitation, Marilyn says that she hasn't tell anything about it, because actually, that is a dance party. Marilyn knows that her uncle isn't an experimented dancer. Herman is worried because he doesn't want to disappoint Marilyn. Grandpa fixes a potion in order to help Herman, but it doesn't work. Later, Herman finds an ad in the paper about a dance school, where he can learn many kinds of styles at low rates. Herman inscribes himself in the dance school, in fact, with a new teacher, Miss Valentine, who at first will have the scare of a hell with Herman. Later, the teacher gets used to dance with Herman. Herman learns ball dance and rock, but he simply doesn't show grace and skills for dance precisely. However, Herman has news for the family: dance classes are going so well, that the school director wants to take him as a dance teacher. The teacher makes Herman to sign up a suspicious contract. Herman feels so confident, that he's dreaming to become a great artist, and even reaches Broadway or Hollywood like Gene Kelly. But Grandpa discovers that the contract is nothing but a fraud, because Herman has signed up a membership to take a determined amount of classes at low rates and an insurance policy, in which the school will be the main beneficiary. Nevertheles, the director finds that the police is behind the case, and after having seen the kind of pupil that Heman is, he decides to fire him and tears his "contract". At home, Grandpa tells Herman everything about the fraud. Disappointed decides not going to the party, and tells Lily and Marilyn not to worry about and go to the party. Lily agrees, but at the porch she pretends falling down and sprains her ankle, as a support gesture to Herman.

Follow That Munster

Herman sees an ad in the paper about an easy job in a detective agency. He's excited about the opportunity of becoming a detective, including training and good pay. Grandpa thinks that it's a crazy thing, but Herman's already sent his application to the agency. Calling himself agent 702, Herman begins to practice, disguising himself in all possible ways and chasing suspects in the street during the night. Lily doesn't know about Herman's secret job, and suspects that he is having an affair with some woman. Desesperatly, Lily goes to the same agency where Herman's searching for his first opportunity, asking the boss that follows her husband and tell her whether he's seeing another woman or not. But after hearing the creepy description of Herman, the boss won't run risks, and he'll put in charge the so called agent 702. Excited by his first serious case, Herman begins to study strategies with Grandpa, who asks him to make a portrait of the unfaithful husband. They'll have a surprise after having seeing the finished draw.

Come Back, Little Googie

The family receives the visit of Googie, a little friend of Eddie, for one weekend. Everyone is excited about it, until Googie begins to behave rude and cheeky with Grandpa and Herman. First, the kid gives names to Grandpa ("a very tall penguin"), later, he plays pranks to Herman, like moving his chair in the dinning room. By this time, every member of the family has changed his view about Googie, and they expect the weekend passes quickly. Googie goes down with Grandpa to his laboratory, and he shows to the child all his magic potions, like the one which transform a prince in a frog. Googie doesn't believe in the power of the potion, and Grandpa sets up a demonstration for him in the garden. Grandpa claims that he can turns Goggie into a frog. In front of Herman and Eddie, after make a few magic passes, Googie's transformed, not in a frog but in a chimp. Eddie's impressed, except Herman and Grandpa, who are worry about the child. Nevertheless, they don't know that Googie has played a practical joke to Grandpa, and he's hide and laughing about it. Herman and Grandpa are desperately trying to find a cure for Googie. Without success they decided to take the chimp and deliver to his parents. Meanwhile, Googie confesses to Eddie his joke, and despite Eddie gets angry with his friend they go to the movies. Lily begins to worry, because she receives a call from Googie's father, asking to bring the child to his home. But it's to late, because Herman and Grandpa have left the chimp at Googie's house.

Eddie comes up with a new taste in music: Rock. He plays a song on the phonograph, but Herman and Grandpa are not fans. Later, the manager for The Standells (a real-life band of the 1960's), is looking for unique accommodations for the group while they are playing in town. He finds the Munster mansion just the right place for something "far out," and offers the family $1500 to rent the house for one weekend. Herman and Grandpa don't like the idea initially, but Lily suggests that the money would be good to pay some debts. Herman ultimately agrees, and the family is sent to a posh hotel as part of the deal. Unfortunately, so much elegance doesn't fit with the family's taste. They quickly leave the hotel and return home. They find The Standells having a live music party, with guests representing the counter-culture of the 1960's. After finding the Standells' music distasteful at first, Herman, Grandpa, and Lily warm up to it during the band's rendition of The Beatles' "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (a #1 hit song that year in America.) The guests, unaware the Munsters are the homeowners, invite them to join the entertainment of music and poetic recital. Herman's comical attempt at inspired poetry is followed by Lily, who sings a romantic song. The party leaves the living room in shambles, however, the Munsters are unfazed. The simple plot line takes a back seat to the musical performances of the Standells and Yvonne DeCarlo.

Munsters on the Move

Herman has been promoted to manager by his boss in the parlor. All the family is very excited about Herman's promotion, but there's one little detail: they'll have to move to Buffalo in order to enjoy this professional success. Everybody agrees with moving to a new city, until Herman tells them that the house has to be sold. Eddie hasn't given his opinion about moving, because he's preparing with his friends for the baseball championship. However, the family resigns with the fact that the house must be sold. Some possible clients, like a man with his mother, a Gypsy family and a pair of antiquities lovers, come to see the house, but they run away at the first sight of Herman and the rest of the family. Nevertheles, Grandpa attends a very anxious man, interested in the house without see it. Grandpa signs a contract, without knowing that he has sold the house to a demolition company, and of course, they will demolish the house to put a parking lot. Herman regrets about the moving decision, and thinks that the demolition issue could be manage with the company. But they arrive with their bulldozers to destroy the house, and Grandpa will lead the last defense of the house.

Two opportunistic producers are looking for a poor ingenuous man, in order to use him for make valid a insurance policy. The producers find Herman, while he is fixing the car with Eddie, and with just one look they found out that he is the right person to carry away the plan. They tell Herman the story that he could become a film star if he agrees to work with them, signing a contract without knowing that it's in fact the policy. All the family is very excited about Herman's new artistic career, especially Lilly, who begins to have dreams about it. Herman films a bunch of scenes, in which he will make the part of a man always in a clear danger: crossing one street and let a car knocking him down, putting himself under a pile of brick while he's supposedly waiting to his "sweetheart" and finally a scene inside a room, where he has to cross a window pretending to be another door. Nevertheless, Herman involuntary escapes of all the traps, falling instead the fraudulent producers in their own fiddles. Meanwhile, Grandpa and Lilly see in the paper an article about the two cheaters, and worried about Herman they'll try to warn the police by phone, but by that time he'll have discovered that the men are trying to hurt him.

At the beginning, Grandpa makes a few jokes about Herman's new sport career, but later he takes him seriously, mainly because of the generous contract. Herman will risk his job at the parlor, but he makes a test in the baseball field. However, the dream ends when the other players decline playing with Herman. Many of them got hurt because of the particular way of Herman of steals the bases or throws the ball. The family comfort Herman, but maybe there will be a chance for him in a football team.

Lily finds the club "depriment charming" and she is impressed with a fashion exhibition, in fact, she tries modeling herself. Meanwhile, Grandpa visits the bar and performs magic tricks. The managers are watching and finally kick Lily and Grandpa out of the Club. They arrive home very angry about the club executives and get worried about the impression that Herman might make at the club. However, Herman and Eddie go to the club and begin to play golf. There, Herman despite all his efforts, destroys the golf course with his strong swings, leaving his giant footprints in some areas. The next day, Herman decides not to become a Club member, because of a creepy notice in the paper: A big creature has invaded the golf course, leaving its footprints and causing fear between the other members and even the gardener.

The Munsters receive a very estrange package from uncle Gilbert. Herman opens it with Lily and Eddie, and surprised they find out that that's a great treasure, full of gold coins. As a matter of fact, uncle Gilbert has asked them to keep the treasure until he arrives. They decided to deposit the treasure in the bank. In the process, they're assisted by a young clerk, Ben (Duncan McLeod) with whom Marilyn instantly feels attracted. Lily notices Marilyn's impression, and the next night she and Grandpa help her to have more intimacy in the living room with Ben. Herman disapproves that they're meddling in the relationship. Everything goes well to Marilyn, until Grandpa receives a mysterious call from a man, claiming that Ben's nothing more than an opportunistic rat, only interested in uncle Gilbert's money. Before he tells anything to Marilyn, Granpa tries a spell to help her, but everybody but Herman end up in a motel in Kansas City. Grandpa calls Herman from there, and warns him about Ben. Herman decides to wait him in Marilyn's room, and when Ben gets there, he'll have a scare of a hell. Dissapointed, Marilyn resigns herself to face the truth, but uncle Gilbert (a sort of "creature from the black lagoon") arrives to cheers the family up.

Marilyn's at the museum making an school report. Lily asks Herman to pick her up, but before he will take an experimental sleeping pill, invented by Grandpa. The pill has a clock, which can be set for the number of sleeping hours. Grandpa sets the pill for nearly 10 hours. Herman arrives late to the museum and he got stuck inside. Searching for an opened door, Herman will find a rare Egyptian sarcophagus, studied by two specialists of the museum, whom believe belongs to King Tuth IV. But Herman believes that the sarcophagus is actually a phone boot. When he tries to make a call inside of the sarcophagus, accidentally he shuts himself up. Under the effects of the pill, Herman falls asleep inside of the sarcophagus. Lily's worried about Herman, and she believes that Herman has goofed again. Eddie sees in the paper the notice about an ancient mummy, with a picture of Herman sleeping inside of the sarcophagus. The scientists believes that Herman is the mummy of Tuth IV, the discover of the year. But Lily goes to the museum and claims to the scientists that the mummy is her husband. Confindently, Lily says her address and asks for the scientists that when Herman wakes up give him two dollars, so he can take a taxi to return home. The scientists believes that Lily's crazy and doesn't care about what she says. But later, Herman wakes up and scares the scientist assistant. At home, Herman asks Grandpa for another pill, because of the great results, but this time with less sleeping time. The scientist arrives with the police to the Munsters' house and demands Lily to tell where's the mummy. Lily says that there's no mummy and that they can see for themselves in the laboratory. Herman's sleeping peacefully in the laboratory, and the police takes him away. Grandpa and Lily aren't worry about Herman, because in a few minutes he will wake up. After hearing a mother-in-law-joke from one policeman, Herman wakes up laughing inside of the museum van, scaring the scientist and the policemen.

Then, Herman decides to prepare a magic show. But he doesn't have the talent of a skilled magician and Lily asks Grandpa that helps Herman, in order to make some successful tricks in the talent show. During the event, Herman is a success with Marilyn as his assistant, and he even tells some jokes for his audience. However, he starts to feel important in front of Grandpa, and he'll try an extremely difficult trick: to disappear Lily in a magic box. Lily disappear, but the worse thing is that Herman won't be able to turn her back.

He tries all: boxer, urban worker, boat builder and the laundry industry. This last job seems to be a good choice. Herman does a good work for his Chinese boss only for a few hours, until he got confused with all the laundry process and makes a big mess. However, Lily finds out about Herman situation, and decides to talk personally with his boss, who accedes to give Herman his job back.
