Episode 1
Honour Amongst Thieves

Detective Max Winter enjoys his cushy job as German liaison officer with the Mallorcan police, as he loves the laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle. Having saved uptight, gloomy British DC Miranda Blake from a cop-disguised killer, unlike the key witness she was to escort home to testify against has mega robbery gang members, he's assigned as her partner for the case, until local chief Carmen Lorenzo finds out she pretended still being the case officer, while UK Superintendent Abbey Palmer forced her to take a leave. Max's talent for improvisation and socializing and her tireless observation make a good team to look into suspects, as proven by killers attacking them as well, even at the funeral, which proves only one of many shameless deceptions.

King of the Mountains

In police chief Inés Villegas's absence, Mirada bullies Max into countering her instructions to lay low by taking on the case of the disappearance of local cycling star, favorite for the Tour de France, Esteban Domenech, whose blood is found on the spot of his apparent fall and abduction. The main rival team leader Terry Davies and Esteban's present main 'domestique', former and potentially next team leader Philippe Tromeur, who eagerly flaunts his perfect physique, seem main suspects, without any proof. Ransom as demanded and paid against police advice, but Esteban appears on his own, claiming he escaped during a traffic jam, yet unseen, hence joins the suspect list, with his own team leader Franco Martínez, whom he fights with. Esteban's impossibly perfect recovery sets the duo on the trail of the perfect fraud, starring an alleged corpse.

The Oligarch's Icon

Max enjoys mingling and flirting, Miranda pouts about on inconspicuous guard duty -as waiters- at the festive restitution after centuries of a stolen icon of St Nicholas painting to the local Orthodox church by Kati Gorenka, the big spender widow of a Russian oligarch, but neither can alertly prevent it being snapped away by a masked man who escapes by yacht. The mayor and Ines furious demand they find it. Following a clue from Max's dodgy beach portrait artist informer, they discover an artist's studio whose uncooperative owner disappears before they can search the premises with a warrant. When the icon turns up, Max and Miranda suspect it is a fake and secretly search Gorenka's luxury yacht, where Miranda finds the real icon, Max the body of the artist and both are confronted by her bodyguard.

Number One Fan

Max and Blake investigate the apparent vanishing of fashion supermodel Valentina Caligari from a local train on route from Sóller to Palma. The Caligari chef, Richard Webb, is revealed to have secretly been in love with Caligari and has a stalking record, but denies having caused her any harm. Chased to the station after an attempted escape from the Caligari estate, he admits having followed Valentina on that day and that he actually had her necklace. After the train had gone through the tunnel, she had disappeared unnoticed, leaving as contra-intuitive explanation: Valentina was never on the train. The detectives find Valentina's brother Otto left the estate to the docks, with Valentina's Lesbian girlfriend, Azra Bolat. They reveal to the detectives that after an argument at the estate, Valentina slipped and hit her head on the tiles. Otto had then disguised himself as Valentina on the train and jumped off it, losing her custom-made designer sunglasses in the process, which evidence is discovered earlier. Otto and Azra had then dumped Valentina's body in the sea, and had planned to leave with Azra's baby. Max also helps Miranda overcome her claustrophobia in the tunnel and the force celebrates Inés' 45th birthday.

Sour Grapes

Police chief Ines insists Max and Miranda investigate the death of the dog of, and threatening letters deliver to, the island's most prestigious wine estate. It's owned by German Hans Weber, who disapproves of his son in law Rainer Schröder's expensive modernization and plans to move back to native Bavaria, expecting his daughter Yvonne to make her family follow as he's diagnosed with cancer, but that proves one of many fakes sold by a crook doctor. The detectives first concentrate on fired employee Federico Ramis and rival winery owner Emilio Byass, whose spinster daughter Margalida has a spicy affair, recalling the tragic one of her sibling and Rainer's heir, who drowned running away together.

To Kill a Stag

German groom-to-be named Karl is found in a swimming pool of a luxury villa, having been robbed, killed and possibly been dumped in the pool afterwards. Karl had an affair with a notorious, elusive local mystery hooker even though he was going to marry Chloe Sumner, the sister of his buddy Danny Sumner, who later arrives in Mallorca to deal with the aftermath of Karl's death. Winter and Blake go on an undercover mission to apprehend their prime suspect, 'escort' Carino De La Noche, and track her to a luxury villa, where Max's friend Christian is tasered by De La Noche but not robbed. apprehend, De La Noche admits the robberies but denies any murder. It turns out Karl's friend Torsten wanted to prove to Chloe Karl's affair, but he never got any photo of a sexual encounter. He also reveals to Chloe that he thought they could still be together after a one-night stand, something Chloe refuses before Max and Blake come arrest Karl's murderer.

Friend Henry

German DJ Kurt Sommer dies from an overdose in his hotel room after a night club performance. Max and Miranda also apprehend María, a drug dealer working for notorious drug lord Luis Gardera and persuade her to turn informant so they can apprehend Gardera, who has infiltrators in most agencies. After a detour from her original pick-up, Gardera's enforcer Heinrich confront María about her talking to the police. She persuades him that working as an informant could sway in Gardera's favor and is brought to Gardera's mansion in the countryside the next morning, with Blake, Winter and police units on their tail. At the mansion, she fails to convince Gardera and is to be executed, before Heinrich turns on Gardera just as the police burst in and arrests him, with surprise revelations.
Episode 8
Death in the Morning

British author Nicholas Mountford is fatally stabbed, like a bull in a bullfight, by an unknown matador in the former bullfighting stadium in Cazdor, the 'non-'sport he abhorred. Blake and Winter find town folk 'silent', but soon suspect the stadium security guard's father, former bull breeder Manu Alzamora, who admits he was in debt to Mountford, denying violence. Inés tells Winter and are to stay in Cazdor to further investigate the case until it's solved. Their suspicion later falls on Alzamora's son after a prior conflict with Mountford is discovered by the police in Palma. Victor Alzamora had an affair with Mountford's wife Leanne, apparently real love, yet neither one of them murdered Mountford, given their alibis. At the stadium, blood and a broken piece are discover on the last great champion's matador suit and sword. They ask Cati Herrero to close the ongoing festival while also sharing their discovery. After misspeaking, she runs.
Episode 9
Mallorca's Most Wanted

A drug bust at Rob King's night club leads Max and Blake onto the 'local' case of catching Mallorca's Most Wanted, the owner's brother, Charlie King, who allegedly murdered his girlfriend Gabriela. Their investigation leads to Charlie's close friend Mike Fowler, the only outside person who he trusted besides his cancer-terminal father, for whom he returned. Fowler admits his their friendship, being hired although a UK ex-con, but wouldn't have owed a hiding place for him. Max and Miranda find nothing in his apartment, but evidence in his boat that someone had been staying there, but King escapes her to Ines's fury. Winter's girlfriend Carmen never told him she was a friend of Gabriela, and reveals vital information about Gabriela's troubled relation to Charlie King. The theory arises that retired King-case lead investigator Ramón Hernandez, Ines's former cop partner, might be corrupt given evidence from a hotel and Gabriela formerly had a relationship with him. While investigating Rob King's factory alone against orders, Blake is knocked unconscious in her car and captured. Winter later arrives to investigate and is also captured, but called for back-up timely to be rescued. All is revealed.

The Ex-Factor

While Max Winter and Miranda Blake investigate a case of stolen music equipment at Jürgen Kuhl's residence and studio, where he hosts his controversial German pop music reality show, unfit participant Jens Schmitt is sent away by Kuhl for not singing his songs, grabs Max's gun and holds everyone in the residence hostage till the situation be broadcast live and that he can sing a clumsy song he writes himself, to his girlfriend Lana. Inés insist on waiting for mainland negotiators, but Max deems Schmitt unstable. Schmitt ties Kuhl with tape to a chair with Blake's help. After the keyboardist, Carlos has an apparent panic attack, Blake takes over. Max sneaks onto the premises in an apparent surprise attack, forcing Inés to order the SWAt team to move in. max surprises Schmitt from behind as the storm others surrender him. Having performed his song, Schmitt is arrested, but cheered by the crowd that gathered outside. Winter proposed earlier to Carmen, who jealously backs down, feeling jealous how protective he acted for Miranda, whose visiting boss offers a promotion in London, but she now feels that Mallorca has become home.
