Nicole's Pen Pal

The romantic among those in the club, Nicole has just accepted Warren's somewhat surprise marriage proposal, but she isn't happy in having that nagging feeling as she often does just before she breaks-up with a boyfriend. She finally admits to the others in the club that that feeling is largely because of still thinking about the guy that stood her up that New Years Eve ten years ago. The problem is is that she never met him and doesn't even know his name, just that he was her assigned pen pal in an English class - they only to use their first initials, his being J - it being his letters with which she made such a strong connection, and which provided her much emotional support during difficult times in her life. In doing some digging, she and her friends believe that the mystery man is one of two people, the most likely candidate being Josh Nolan, the manager of the Kennworthy Inn a couple of hours drive away. In learning that the inn's owners have hired a design firm but that the redecoration has been delayed, Nic, with the other three club members in tow, sees it as the perfect opportunity to meet Josh under the guise of being said designer, she eventually to tell him the truth when the time comes. The question then becomes whether Nic will be so swayed about Josh being or not being her pen pal J truly not to see the person standing in front of her, especially as she has been holding onto those thoughts of J and his letters for ten years.

Sydney's Journey

Former star track athlete, Sydney, is now a successful food blogger who still holds a flame for her college boyfriend whom she hasn't seen in ten years. After running into him unexpectedly, she discovers he has entered the Valentine 10k Run and doesn't want to miss out on an opportunity to reconnect. She quickly signs up for the run then recruits The Love Club - four women who made a vow to always be there for one another during times of romantic troubles - to help. After being paired up with a running buddy and also the chef and owner of a struggling local restaurant, it becomes apparent to everyone but Sydney that it is Theo (not her ex) who seems to share a bond with her - especially over their love of food and cooking. As Sydney helps Theo elevate his menu to buzzworthy appeal, Theo helps Sydney reach the finish line.

Lauren's Dream

It's been ten years since that New Year's Eve party when Peter made the unilateral decision that he and Lauren would move across the country for him to accept his dream job, instead of what was their in-the-works plan for Lauren to open an art gallery. Peter has always justified that decision as looking out for their financial security, which now includes for their daughter Stephanie. Feeling like she has always played second fiddle to Peter's job, he who conversely did whatever he wanted, Lauren now has divorce papers staring her in the face. Despite she the one to initiate the divorce proceedings, Lauren feels the need for the support of the love club at this time. The three other club members rushing to Lauren's side, they deal both with Lauren's professional and personal problems. With the former, they encourage her to open that art gallery in light of her lack of work experience making it difficult to find a job. With the latter, they each have different views of the state of Lauren and Peter's marriage. Nic, as the one who has been their friends the longest, believes that they are each other's soul mate if they can only find their way back to each other. Single Tara believes Lauren needs to get back into the dating scene if only to gauge her feelings. While Tara has set up a profile for her on her dating app which she clandestinely uses for other purposes on Lauren's behalf, Lauren herself may not have an issue in that department in meeting suave artist Carlos, who is overt in his interest in her. And Syd believes Steph is the key to the situation between her parents. Once they suss out the situation, Nic, Tara and Syd have to work hard to ensure that Lauren ends up with who is indeed the person meant for her, which entails rectifying some misunderstandings that may otherwise drive them apart.

Tara's Tune

Tara has long known, even back to that New Year's Eve party ten years ago, that having a man in her life is not only not important, but that relationships only lead to problems as was the case with her parents, her father who long ago left the family leaving her mother, Nadine, devastated. Despite that devastation, Nadine has always pushed Tara toward being in a committed relationship, Tara in turn sending her mother an occasional selfie with a man, such as her internet date that New Year's Eve who she connected with solely for that selfie, to keep her off her back. This Christmas season, Tara decides that what she will do for the new year is to focus on herself and her music career, meaning no men, period. As such, she invites the love club to join her for New Years Eve to celebrate ringing in what she is calling the Year of Tara. Nicole, the romantic in planning the event for Tara, turns at least the invitations to the other guests into a marriage ceremony i.e. Tara marrying herself. The problem is is that Nadine gets wind of Tara getting "married", which leads to a series of complications. Tara's latest selfie partner, Noah Bailey, a songwriter/musician she hired to perform in the lounge and who came to town solely in the possibility of meeting music promoter Garth Bryant in, similar to Tara, trying to nail down that elusive record deal, is initially a willing partner in pretending to be Tara's fiancé for Nadine, who is half way across the country. But as those complications pile up, the closer it gets to Tara and Noah necessarily getting to a real altar solely to hide the lies from Nadine. These complications are only exacerbated by the two actually starting to fall for each other, which they may not be able to admit to either themselves, each other, or Tara to the love club, especially as they both may see it competing with their respective music careers.
