Episode 1
A Breath of Fresh Air

Two weeks after Harmonic Convergence, portions of Republic City have been covered in spirit vines and spirits have been roaming freely after Korra has decided to leave the portals open. Korra's popularity starts to deteriorate even further, due to her defeating the Dark Avatar Unalaq. During the press conference Raiko begins to blame Korra even further, causing her to angrily call the president out for his incompetence, Lin soon breaks up the altercation. Asami comforts a despondent Korra and she tells her that she shouldn't let the president get to her disliking. Asami helps Korra ease her mind by teaching her how to drive, they begin to bond over their failed relationship with Mako. Korra admits she never had a girlfriend to talk to about her problems. Korra tries to uses her spirit bending to remove the vines, but they grow back. Raiko immediately banishes Korra from Republic City after Daw tries to fall off Kyoshi Bridge. Following the shift of Harmonic Convergence, Korra and her friends discover that non-benders, including Bumi and Daw have developed the ability to air bend. Korra and Tenzin become determined to fulfill Aang's dream of rebuilding the Air Nation, that was destroyed 170 years ago by Fire Lord Sozin. Meanwhile, Zaheer escapes from prison after acquiring the ability to air bend and he sets out to free his comrades.

Rebirth

Korra, Tenzin, and Team Avatar are traveling around the Earth Kingdom in search of air benders. However, their search for air benders is shown to be difficult. Along the way, they encounter a young pick pocket named Kai who has acquired air bending and is evading the authorities after stealing his foster family's savings. However, Korra and Tenzin decide to take the young boy in and prevent him from causing any trouble. Meanwhile, Zaheer has successfully broken Ghazan and Ming Hua out of their respective prisons, with the intention of taking out the Avatar. Lord Zuko travels to the North Pole to prevent Zaheer from breaking out his girlfriend at her ice prison.

The Earth Queen

Team Avatar arrives in Ba Sing Se to find more air benders. Hou-Ting manipulates Korra to get tax money that was stolen by thieves. However, Hou-Ting claims there are no air benders here, causing Korra to become suspicious of the monarch. Meanwhile, Mako and Bolin meet their long lost relatives from their late father's side of the family. Chow and Tu provide information to Mako and Bolin about the air benders getting captured by the Dai Li. Hou-Ting is using the unwilling air benders as her personal soldiers. At the North Pole, Chiefs Desna and Eska receive a visit from their uncle Tonraq and Lord Zuko, they head to the western tundra to go to a secret prison to prevent Zaheer and his friends from breaking out P'Li.

At the North Pole, Tonraq, Zuko, Desna, and Eska try to prevent Zaheer and his comrades from breaking out P'Li. In Ba Sing Se, Korra finds out that Hou-Ting has been imprisoning air benders and she discovers that she is in danger when she finds out from Lin and Tenzin that an anarchist group wants to take her out. Lin helps Korra, Tenzin, and Team Avatar to free the captive air benders and take them to the Northern Air Temple where they will be safe from the Earth Queen.

The Metal Clan

Korra realizes that Lin has a half-sister named Suyin and their relationship has been strained for thirty years. Meanwhile, Zaheer infiltrates Air Temple Island in a attempt to find Korra. However, Kya recognizes Zaheer and he escapes.

Old Wounds

Korra learns how to metal bend from Suyin. Lin takes an acupuncture session, more of her past comes into light such as her job on the police force and her relationship with her family. Meanwhile, Zaheer and his friends plan their escape from Republic City. After Zaheer was caught infiltrating Air Temple Island trying to find Korra, the police force begins to increase their patrols to apprehend the criminals.

Despite Bumi's bad attitude, Tenzin attempts to train the new members of the Air Nation with little success. Things become more complicated for the airbending master as Jinora, with Kai's influence, begins to exert her independence and demand her airbending tattoos. The new airbenders are tested when they are forced to face a group of bison rustlers who have taken Jinora and Kai along with several bison calves.

The Terror Within

Opal heads off to the Northern Air Temple to begin her air bending training with Tenzin. However, Zaheer and his friends manage to sneak into Zaofu at night, they try to capture Korra again. Team Avatar, Lin, Su, Wei and Wing are able to rescue Korra from Zaheer and his friends. Korra finally comes to, she and her friends suspect that one of guards at Zaofu is responsible. It is soon discovered that Aiwei is responsible for sneaking Zaheer and his friends into Zaofu, so they could kidnap Korra a second time. Aiwei makes his escape and Su becomes distraught that her trusted adviser has betrayed her. Su allows Korra and her friends to find Aiwei, so they can bring him back to Zaofu and interrogate him.
Episode 9
The Stakeout

Korra, Asami, Mako, and Bolin are searching for Aiwei after he is discovered to be a mole for the Red Lotus. During their search for Aiwei, Korra and her friends discover they are wanted by the Earth Queen for taking the Air Benders. Korra openly berates the queen for abusing her power for selfish reasons. Korra and her friends rent a hotel room in order to wait for Aiwei to come out. Korra decides to confront the traitorous truth seer and she realizes that Aiwei is in the Spirit World. Korra meditates into the Spirit World and she meets Zaheer in person. Korra questions Zaheer's intentions on her attempted kidnapping. Zaheer reveals that the kidnapping was Unalaq's idea, but he avoided punishment when he began to pursue his own selfish goals for power. Zaheer understands that Korra had to put up with a moronic president and a tyrannical earth queen. Zaheer reveals to Korra that he and the Red Lotus plan on taking out world leaders, so that they can usher a new world order. Korra tells Zaheer that taking out world leaders and governments will only cause chaos. However, Ghazan and Ming Hua discover Korra's location and they try to capture her again, Mako and Bolin hold off their opponents, giving Asami time to escape with Korra on Naga. However, Korra and Asami are captured by the Earth Queen's forces. Mako and Bolin have been captured by Ghazan and Ming Hua. Zaheer and his comrades decide to intercept Korra at Ba Sing Se.
Episode 10
Long Live the Queen

While en route to Ba Sing Se, Korra and Asami manage to escape from their cell, but their attempt to take control of the vessel results in the vessel losing altitude and hitting the sand. In Ba Sing Se, the Red Lotus hands over Mako and Bolin on condition that they get Korra, and the Earth Queen agrees. Meanwhile, Lin discovers the abandoned Jeep and radios Tonraq to rendezvous at the Misty Palms Oasis.

The Ultimatum

Mako and Bolin escape Ba Sing Se in an airship as the city descends into chaos. Meeting up with Korra, they deliver Zaheer's message: the Red Lotus will attack the Northern Air Temple unless Korra hands herself over. They manage to contact Tenzin just as the Red Lotus arrives.
Episode 12
Enter the Void

Korra agrees to surrender to Zaheer on the condition that he and his comrades free the captive Air Benders. Korra arrives at Laghima's Peak and she is restrained in platinum cuffs by P'Li. At the Northern Air Temple, Ghazan escorts Mako, Bolin, and Asami to free Tenzin and the Air Benders, they are double crossed and left for dead at the burning temple. Korra realizes that Zaheer did not fulfill his end of the deal, causing Korra and Tonraq to fight off Zaheer. Lin, Su, and the Metal Clan Guards prepare for a final stand off against P'Li. Lin tries to distract the combustion bender and Su metal bends her chest plate around P'Li's head, killing her instantly. Zaheer successfully captures Korra and he has acquired the ability to fly. Meanwhile, at the Northern Air Temple, Bolin is trying to get his friends to safety but they can't outrun the lava. Bolin makes one final attempt to save his friends and he discovers that he can lava bend. Kai and his sky bison, Lefty, escort their friends to safety. Kai informs everyone that there is more Red Lotus members and he reveals the location of the missing Air Benders and where Korra is. Meanwhile at the cave complex, Zaheer reveals his grand plan to a restrained Korra and he plans on ending the Avatar cycle for good.
Episode 13
Venom of the Red Lotus

After succumbing to the poison, Korra enters the Avatar State and battles Zaheer, while Bolin and Mako duel Ghazan and Ming-Hua. The captive members of the Air Nation escape and band together to help Korra and defeat Zaheer, who they manage to recapture. However, the poison in her system forces Korra in a wheelchair and the young Avatar slips into a state of depression. Jinora is anointed as an airbending master by Tenzin, who also proclaims that the Air Nation will return to its nomadic roots and serve as the world's ambassadors for peace and balance.
