Follow journalist Murray Sayle as he takes a cross-country trip by Canadian railway. While passing through various towns, he meets people of all ages and backgrounds, and explores the differences between Canadian and American identities. With the advent of commercial flight, many people prefer getting to a place more quickly now, so the railway makes some of its last stops for good.
Episode 2
Follow journalist Murray Sayle as he takes a cross-country trip by Canadian railway. After covering the eastern half of Canada, he now makes his way through the Canadian wilderness, Rockies, and prairie lands. He meets with a beaver dam control officer, moose-calling experts, isolated townsfolk, some of the train staff, and Cree natives before reaching the end of a long journey.
