The Raven and his gang lead a series of museum painting thefts from their futuristic dirigible. Putty Puss goes undercover as a famous artist, travelling with a Million $ painting, Ding-Dog hides in a hidden panel in the painting's frame, and the rest of the team is hot on the Raven's dirigible trail.

Prof. Thorndyke invents a method to make diamonds from marble, and is kidnapped by the criminal genius Diamondhead. The Houndcats cook a scheme to convince Diamondhead he took the wrong man, and pose Putty Puss as the "real" Thorndyke.

R. J. Wrathmore brags that he'll hijack a government gold shipment to the San Francisco Mint, and the Houndcats are assigned to stop him. Masquerading as a circus owner and ringmaster, R. J. hires the undercover Houndcats for his show as a trapeze act, where the heroes learn that a giant-sized gorilla has been trained to stop the train shipment.

Capt. Blight and his super-wave machine threaten San Francisco with a tidal wave, unless the government turns over the Mint plates for printing $10,000 bills. The Houndcats masquerade as the Barbary Bunch, rival extortionists with a giant waterspout weapon, and hook up with Blight to stop his scheme.

An airplane carrying government secret papers crashes in the Rockies. The Houndcats must retrieve the briefcase before gangster Grogan and his gang can do the same and ransom the plans. Grogan disguises one of his men as Mussel Mutt to send our heroes astray. But unknown to Grogan, the missing pilot he finds is really Putty Puss in disguise.

Dr. Strangeless recruits a team of criminal experts for some unknown evil purpose, and the Houndcats are instructed to determine what he's up to. The heroes pose as criminals to infiltrate the Strangeless gang, and learn that he plans to steal oil supplies from an underground pipeline.

The Houndcats are assigned to investigate and stop the "ghost train" of Midnight Jones, which is preventing the A&S Railroad from delivering passengers, freight and urgent government dispatches. Is Jones really a ghostly apparition, or a ruse to drive the A&S into bankruptcy?

Dr. Doll plans to take over Texas' government, replacing mayors and officials with look-alike puppets. The Houndcats scheme to convince Doll he's slept 20 years and is now the Governor. Our heroes hope Doll will reveal the hiding place of the kidnapped officials, if he thinks the puppets are malfunctioning from neglect.

Prof. Jones accidentally mails plans for his new government invention to his son at a dude ranch. The Raven escapes from prison and heads to the ranch to steal the plans. Stutz and Putty Puss go undercover as parents of young Mussel Mutt to protect Jeff and the plans until they can be returned to Washington D.C. But the Raven kidnaps Jeff, and the chase is on.

A collection of French jewels has been missing since before the Louisiana Purchase. Prof. McCabe is a master thief who's found a key that will unlock their location. On special assignment in New Orleans, the Houndcats disguise as chefs, a bayou witch, hillbillies and a pirate ghost to recover the jewels and return them to France.

On a vacation cruise, the Houndcats instead find themselves guarding a meteorite that's being delivered to a government research island. From his submarine, Capt. Blight steals the rock. Our heroes track him to his pirate island to stop him from using the meteor for nefarious purposes by convincing Blight that the island is an active volcano inhabited by dinosaurs.

Evil Dr. Greenhouse develops a plant growth formula to create an army of gargantuan plants, and rob Fort Knox. On assignment in Louisville, the Houndcats send Putty Puss undercover as a rival botanist to learn Greenhouse's plan.

Madam X and her cohorts have stolen top secret plans to a top-secret vault, containing even more top-secret plans. Putty Puss devises disguises for the team to infiltrate the villains' headquarters. But the theft was actually a trick of past enemies Prof. McCabe and Diamondhead, who hired Madam X to lead the Houndcats into an inescapable trap.
