Episode 1
Alex helps landlord Alan at a 400 yr old pub with rooms nestled in the Wiltshire village of Aldbourne; initially hoping the establishment would set him up for retirement, Alan is 69 yrs old and still working every hour of the day.
Episode 2
Retired couple John and Ilona spent thousands on this 10 bed 200 yr old former gentleman's house but occupancy is below ten percent meaning the hotel is rarely full. However, Alex has a plan to get this hotel back on track.
Episode 3
For the first time, Alex tackles two hotels at once - a 300 yr old country inn in the Scottish borders with new and disengaged owners, and a guest house in Cambridge whose owner is reluctant to modernize.
Episode 4
Jon was left a 13-bed Victorian seaside hotel with stunning views by his late mother, but occupancy is flagging and he has fallen out with the young couple live-in managers. Alex must mediate a massive fallout to get everyone back onboard.
Episode 5
Life at the 11-bed luxury country manor house Warwick Hall may be idyllic, but the business is not. Retirees Val and Nick need to rebrand and rejuvenate, but Alex has a job convincing them of it before the reviewers arrive.
Episode 6
Alex helps a former city high-flyer whose dream of running a dog-friendly, local pub in the countryside has gone off the rails. Despite her best efforts the Grade II listed pub with 6 AA 4 star rated rooms is currently making a loss.
Episode 7
Alex visits Eastbourne's Sheldon, where owner Judith is doing nothing to make her business stand out from the competitive seaside crowd. Alex gets busy rebranding the 20 bedroom Sheldon as a family B&B in time for summer.
