The main make is to hand build a complete 32 piece Chess Set; the second challenge is a throw and decorate 3 miniature porcelain pieces; a bowl, cylinder, narrow necked belly pot for guest judge the renowned miniaturist Geoffrey Swindell.
Episode 3
The main make; sculpt a pair of animals one adult and one baby which will be raku fired; second challenge is a spot test a Nerikomi bowl which is decorated by delicately layering different clays judged by renowned expert Dorothy Feibleman.
Episode 4
The main make; a pair of slip cast multicoloured decorative vases (one small, one larger); second challenge a throw-down to make the widest simple bowl while blindfolded with 10 minutes and enough clay for two bowls.
Episode 5
The main make; throw two matching 30 cm lamp bases - which will be decorated, electrified and have shades if desired; the second challenge is a spot test to decorate two pieces of pottery with writing for ceramics icon Emma Bridgewater.
Episode 6
The main make; sculpt a 60 centimetre classic Greek nude statue from one of two live models; the second challenge is a throw-down of a Greek Amphora (a large jug with handles) in 1 hour before finishing and adding the handles.
Episode 7
The main make; create at least 40 handmade decorative tiles that once finished will be set around a fireplace; the second challenge is a throw-down to create a terra cotta chimney pot in 1 hour
Episode 8
The main make; throw a pair of ginger jars which will be pit fired with personalized assortments of combustibles to create colouring; the second challenge is a spot test to Sgraffito two jugs with a design inspired by the elements.
Episode 9
The main make; design, build and decorate a fully working toilet; the second challenge is a spot test to decorate a Victorian style teapot using the tissue transfer process with 10 different pieces that need to be cutout, in 1 1/2 hours.
Episode 10
The main make; design, build and decorate a nine piece tea set inspired by The Mad Hatter's Tea Party; the second challenge is a throw-down with a momentum wheel on which they will make three rimmed bowls - small, medium and large.
