Pennhurst State School

The Ghost Finders travel to Spring City, Pennsylvania to investigate one of the most haunted State Schools in the country Pennhurst State School and Hospital. The tormented souls who still reside here, and the staff overwhelmed, overworked and under paid still have their stories to tell from beyond the grave. Maintenance staff and tour guides have amassed many reports of sightings, voices, apparitions, shadow figures, children's laughter, terrifying screams and more.

Graestone Manor

Graestone Manor Bed is a large Victorian mansion that was built in 1865. Guests of the B&B report hearing the sounds of horse hooves and a carriage, as well as a man's voice and whistling. The ghost of a woman has been seen and caught on film looking out of the window at people. An uncomfortable presence is felt by some in several areas of the home. Reports of a vortex or portal area in the basement and another in the upstairs 'children's room' have been attributed to Victorian seances being held in the home in the 1800s. Alleged shadow masses, the smell of cigar smoke, perfume and disembodied voices have all been reported here over the years. The Ghost Finders investigate.

Eastern State Penitentiary

Eastern State Penitentiary opened in 1829 and was operational until its closure in 1972. The facility designed a variety of horrific and barbaric physical and psychological torture regimens for various infractions, including dousing prisoners in freezing water outside during winter months, chaining their tongues to their wrists in a fashion such that struggling against the chains could cause the tongue to tear, strapping prisoners into chairs with tight leather restraints for days on end. The worst behaved prisoners were locked up in a pit called "The Hole", an underground cellblock dug under cellblock 14 where they would have no light, no human contact, and very little food for as long as two weeks. Its better known guests included mob boss Al Capone, famous Bank robber Willie Sutton and James 'Big Joe' Bruno. Over the years prison staff, maintenance staff, security and visitors alike have all reported alleged paranormal activity here. These include a screaming black mass swooping down the long corridors and from cell to cell. Disembodied faces, voices, footsteps and tormented screams, full bodied apparitions and even visitors being poked or grabbed.
