Across 6 one-hour episodes portraying football and footballers in a positive light, we go behind the scenes and discover the passion that drives 24 of the world's most talented football players when they're off the field of play. On The Football Show you'll meet current stars such as Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Marcelo, Ramires, and legends such as Ronaldinho, Michael Owen, Gennaro Gattuso, Hernan Crespo amongst others, talking candidly about their hobbies, interests and passions, as well as the individual ways in which they are giving back to society and their local communities. Each episode of The Football Show is presented from a different major football location; Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Manchester, Barcelona and Rome. The series is hosted by Layla Anna-Lee and Jonny Nelson who uncover a rich seam of local football stories, explore the heritage of the game in each city, and meet an array of people who express their artistic passions through the beautiful game.
