Famous movie star Sevvy Johnson was found not guilty of murdering two women in a highly publicized court case. The L.A. county prosecutor, Maya Travis, who tried the case the first time, left the city to avoid being the scapegoat for Sevvy Johnson's "not guilty" verdict. Eight years later, Sevvy Johnson's new girlfriend is found bludgeoned to death in a similar manner as the two young girls were 8 years prior. Maya Travis is asked to come back to L.A. to assist the new county prosecutor's office in digging up evidence to ensure Sevvy Johnson does not get away with murder a second time.
