Episode 1

From The Stars

22 mins

The Nektons attempt to stop toxic fuel from a fallen satellite from polluting a marine sanctuary. But they encounter a mysterious new adversary, Alpheus Benthos, who has not only brought down the satellite himself, but wants to use the mapping data it contains to find Lemuria before them. When Ant and Fontaine track him down, it seems Alpheus believes Ant and he have a "shared destiny". He won't reveal what that is however. Will and Kaiko locate the satellite, but the casing around the power core cracks and leaks. It's going to explode, creating even more havoc, unless they can find a way to get rid of it. Ant has the crazy idea of shooting it back into space, but can they do it in time?

The Baltic Sea Anomaly

22 mins

Is the Baltic Sea Anomaly really a UFO that crashed into the ocean 6000 years ago? Ant believes what he reads about it on the Net and thinks it is. The mysterious Ephemychron is telling them that it's somehow connected to Lemuria and the Nektons need to determine exactly how. But what they find inside the Anomaly is even more strange and frightening. At first it seems like tiny aliens are attacking them. Then Kaiko realizes they're very large mantis shrimp. But their supersonic pincers are capable of punching through anything and now the Aronnax itself is in danger from them. How can the Nektons stop a swarm of tiny creatures intent on hollowing out the Aronnax for their new home?

Mermaids

22 mins

Mermaids don't exist - right? Well, if that's true, then what's that mermaid-shaped thing swimming outside the Aronnax? Ant sees a mermaid and is determined to catch it. He doesn't realise he's chasing Fontaine, wearing a new "Mimic-Knight" that she's built with Professor Fiction. But Fontaine and Fiction are captured by the Dark Orca Pirates and Captain Hammerhead wants Fiction to build him a Knight too. A Super-Knight. One big enough to tear its way into a sunken submarine to retrieve a mysterious treasure - and one that's strong enough to beat the Nektons. When Ant is captured also, the odds are stacked against the Nektons. How can they stand up to a Super-Knight?

Treacherous Waters

22 mins

Tardigrades are the strongest creatures on Earth - able to survive in almost any environment. But they're also microscopic. So why are there giant ones in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle? When the Nektons follow one through a strange "portal" in the water, they find themselves in a zone where the laws of physics don't seem to apply. What's more, they can't seem to escape now. The Ephemychron has lead them to this place and when Ant finds an ancient Lemurian ship that's been expanded and pulled to pieces by the forces in this zone, the Nektons fear that they could be its next victims. Jeffrey seems the only one comfortable here. Is he the key to their escape?

Kenji's Monster

22 mins

A giant, upright standing monster, straight out of a monster movie, is walking across the ocean floor, causing havoc. Kaiko knows this isn't a normal sea-creature. How can something like this exist? And why is it heading towards the island of the Nektons; old friend Kenji Nakimura? It transpires that Kenji built this robotic monster when he worked in the movie business, years ago. But somehow it's been activated again and is on a collision course with the Giant Hermit Crabs that inhabit the waters off Kenji's island. As much as Ant loves a good "battle of the monsters" on screen, he doesn't want to witness one in real life. How can this thing be stopped?

Finn Comes Aboard

22 mins

Pirate boy Smiling Finn comes to the Nektons pleading for help. He wants them to stop his father, Captain Hammerhead, from stealing a treasure. Ant finds this very puzzling - why would a pirate not want to steal a treasure? Despite their reservations, the Nektons save the treasure from the Pirates. But in the process, Will gets very sick and collapses. It seems Finn hasn't told the Nektons the entire truth. The treasure is cursed. He was trying to protect his father from this and now it seems Will has succumbed to it. But is it really a curse? Fontaine doesn't think so. The Nektons have to find the truth about this treasure before Will becomes its latest victim.

Beware the Sentinels

22 mins

A mysterious, ancient temple beneath the sea has been hidden for centuries. The Nektons discover it and find two large statues guarding its entrance. An ancient inscription warns them to "beware the sentinels". But Ant is skeptical. After all, they're made of stone; they can't move. What can they do? As the light gets gloomier however, the skin on the statues seems to ripple and come alive. It seems the statues are covered with deadly, poisonous stone-fish - and they're determined to protect their environment. The Nektons are trapped inside the temple by the stone-fish and there seems to be no way out. What's more, they find the temple is actually a tomb. Ant hopes that's not an omen.

Hidden Secrets

22 mins

Fontaine has a "secret room" somewhere aboard the Aronnax and it's driving Ant crazy. He can't find it. It becomes less important, though, when the Rover races off, seemingly out of control, with Kaiko aboard. Will chases after her and they both soon realize sabotage is involved. In fact, Alpheus Benthos has done this to distract Ant's parents while he breaks into the Aronnax and steals the Ephemychron. He reasons that the Nektons will never be able to locate Lemuria without it. Taking Ant with him, Alpheus then scuttles the Aronnax. Fontaine, alone in her secret room, finally becomes aware that something is very wrong on board - and soon realizes she is the family's only hope.

When the Nektons enter it, walls shift and move - spaces change - and they become disoriented. They're soon trapped inside and, what's worse - they're not alone. In the centre of the maze is a Minotaur. Even stranger than the one of legend, this Minotaur has a bull's head, man's torso, and the tail of a shark. It seems angry that humans have invaded its home. Ant realizes that dolphins bring seaweed into the maze to feed the Minotaur. The dolphins can find their way out. Maybe by following them, the Nektons can too.
