Johnny from the future talks to present-day Johnny through the cane head and tries to get Johnny to let Rebecca kill Stillson. But when Johnny sees that Rebecca will get gunned down by the police after assassinating Stillson at a political rally, he sets out to stop her from committing a fatal mistake since Johnny is still not 100% sure of Stillson is responsible for the nuclear war. But when Johnny falls ill again and is requested for brain surgery which may take away his visions, Johnny sneaks out of the hospital to try to intercept Rebecca. Meanwhile in Washington, Stillson's head thug, Jake Truax, hires Malcolm Janus as part of his new head of security while Stillson discovers that his father, James, was in fact the one responsible for Rachel Caldwell's murder, and he decides to make some changes.

A young homeless woman that Sarah works with is kidnapped. She's held in a room where the kidnapper tries to realize his fantasy of the perfect woman. A former abductee helps Johnny and Walt find the missing woman, but the woman, Linda, has her own agenda.

Johnny has a run-in with Alex Sinclair, a female psychic, whom tests and later helps Johnny when he has a vision of a sniper killing an insurance agent, and she has a vision of a young boy communicating with her. It turns out that a brain-dead boy leads Alex to his father, who wants to kill the doctors and insurance agents involved with his son's hospitalization. With Walt's help, Johnny tries to stop the mentally disturbed man and at a local church, while he also tries to save Alex when she goes into anaphylactic shock from a bee sting.

Still Life

When Johnny receives an anonymous painting displaying a young woman, he, Walt, and Bruce investigate the artist, Andrew Lyne, who claims that the woman is his missing daughter, Chloe, and he wants her found. Johnny's vision of the woman shows her being killed and he must find her as well as the killer before it is carried out.

A autistic 12-year-old boy, named Thaddeus, makes his way to Johnny to "ask" him to help clear his father: a cop on death row for the murder of an undercover cop. With the help of the boy's drawings, Johnny and Bruce travel to Boston to try to prove the man's innocence, with a little help from the cop's former partner. But their investigation not only put their lives, but also Thaddeus' life, in danger.

Johnny has a vision of a famous musician, who although supposedly died nearly 20 years earlier he believes is still alive. He and Sarah travel from Portland, to Boston, to New York, and to Philadelphia to find the elusive musician. En route they deal with his emotionally broken son who has taken up playing the guitar to follow in his father's footsteps. The search turns into a murder investigation when Johnny has a vision of the girlfriend of the rock star being murdered. Johnny and Sarah try to narrow down the list of suspects.

Johnny has a vision of a old school pupil of his, named Alex Conners, standing with Greg Stillson, the new President of the USA involved in the in the nuclear Armageddon. Johnny decides to investigate and learns that Stillson is funding the Portland Biotech company that Alex is working at. Alex is developing a synthetic product for military use and Johnny decides to sabotage Alex's work. Meanwhile, Purdy is put under more pressure by Stillson's newest head thug, Malcolm Janus. He contributes more money for Stillson's nefarious plans to become president by threatening to shut down his satellite broadcasts, while Stillson has a meeting of minds with Miranda Ellis, the daughter of one of his senatorial supporters.

Johnny begins investigating his father's past and why Herb Smith was committed to a mental hospital. But Reverend Purdy as well as everyone else are reluctant to talk about Johnny's father. Johnny strikes out on his own and comes to realize that a disaster will happen in the near future just a few days away.

The muggers are three young boys who Johnny and Alex try to help find their long-lost father. Meanwhile they try to find out who the old amnesiac man they bring home to Johnny's house really is.
